On another note, I've heard the name "Shockofgod" mentioned in a few vidieos. Who is he? Is he a troll or is he a real person? Is Youtube his only habitat?

Conservapedia LOVES him..absolutely worships his videos...

Though I think it does help that atheism (or at least agnostic atheism) has quite a few compelling arguments in support of itself.

The guy once added me as a friend on youtube, I went to his channel and posted a rather respectfull comment saying I was an atheist. Disn't take long for the friend request to be witdrawned, my comment deleted and I got blocked from further commenting. Yeah, I'm that great

That's the rub isn't it. These people were so convinced by charisma that they just assume that atheists are like dominoes behind Richard Dawkins. Rather than spending their time trying to provide evidence of their god (which is what they'd be doing if they actually gave a shit/had two functional brain cells), they waste time attempting to erode the credibility of some mythical atheist priesthood.

I came to atheism based on how bullshit the concept of god is...not because of some charismatic leader

They're so used to being followers and being told what to do by their religious leaders like the pope that they can't imagine that we don't need to be told what to do.
That we accept people like Dawkins et al as fellow travellers, nothing more.

He is one of those rabid youtube fundies that disables ratings on all of his videos, and diligently monitors every single opinion sent to any of his videos. His videos are massively populated by opinions that praise shock of god as a warrior, strokes his ego, or agrees with him.

I ahve founf that when I intentionally make a spelling mistake while commenting on his videos, my chances of being published are much higher. He perceives atheists as clowns, and atheism as "madness". Anything that makes atheists look like that will be held high on an altar by this guy.

I must admit, I have seen quite a few of Shock of gods vids....yet, I can rarely stomach anything longer that 2 or 3 minutes without shutting it off and moving on. Sometimes he starts right off on the gloating, and it is so obviously personal ego stroking and such that I cant even handle a minute.

The nice thing is, that even after viewing shock of god for less than a minute, the nice thing is that the next video you watch, no matter what it be, will be a great improvement compared to what you just saw vomiting out of your monitor..

...even if it is a creationist video.
