Oh no, immigrants who signed on to the american dream might actually get to take part in the american experience...whatever will we do? Those that come here seeking a better life for themselves and their families might actually achieve it, what will the world think...how could we live with ourselves?
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. You know the so-called "Obamacare" package would never be accepted in any other country across the pond, or north of us in Canada or east of us in Japan. This pitifully lame, overcompromised, watered-down attempt at reform still leaves the foxes in charge of the chicken coup (read: for-profit health insurance companies in charge of health care). All it does is require the health care companies kiss us as they screw us.

Nevertheless, instead of the fox in charge of the hen house, the 800 pound gorilla is now in charge of healthcare. The Obamacare Tax is going to cost $1.76 trillion over the next ten years. Who pays for that? I hope Obama gets voted out so this thing can be repealed. Next thing you know some little government despot somewhere in America will be regulating how many ounces of soda drinks people can have.

Count me as one of them. However, it is better than what was before. We just got our refund checks from the insurance bastards who were forced to refund their price gouging.
Not great but a step in the right direction.

Where are you getting your facts. Everything I've seen says that it will save money and repealing it will cost money.

Slippery slope much?

On Obamacare, most Americans DO want it. They say they don't by about 55/45, but when asked about the individual parts too it, guess what? They're in agreement with it, by around 60/40 on every point. It doesn't help that the media is so god damn awful and Fox just lies for fun. See this video.

@A Theist;
Sure you may have to pay more tax, but it's money you'd have to spend on healthcare anyway; you'd probably moan if you had to spend a large amount in one lump sum. Obamacare isn't perfect - the tax-hating money-loving republicans have seen to that - but it's a fairer system than the current US one. The main problems with the NHS here in the UK are organisation and bureaucracy - which still plague pay as you need systems like in the US, whereas it doesn't break the bank to pay for your crucial operation, and doesn't give people incentives to avoid paying.
