Would you like to make the argument for scapegoating, or do we agree?

So because "you said so?"

You are interjecting your personal beliefs into the established beliefs of others (based on the authority you have given to yourself) and you believe my 'critcism' to be empty?

Correction, because "we" say so. Unless you'd like to implement scapegoating into U.S. law. My personal beliefs have jack shit to do with our concept of justice. I wasn't there when the laws were written, and I don't always agree. In this case I do, and I bet you do as well.....-until- your god is invoked.

Special considerations for our very "special" friends, amiright?
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. Doesn't really answer my question though, does it?

So..."We" usurp the Authority of God? do me a favor and leave me out of your 'we' collective, and Let me know how 'your people' verses God works out.

Actually it does completely. If you are still confused then may i suggest rephrasing the question, for the question you asked has been answered.

Works just fine, unless you disagree. Look, amigo, you want to make that scapegoating justice argument be my guest, but until you do I'm assuming you agree with me and are simply unable to deal with the dissonance that this causes.

No one has to usurp anything from fairies Drich. They never had anything for us to usurp in the first place.

Time to remind you once again, Drippy, that you have yet to provide evidence that your 'god' is anything more than a figment of your imagination.

Righteousness demands that someone die for the sins committed against God. Jesus was that death for those who accept the offering made on their behalf.

It is still not clear to me why the death of anything compensates or counteracts any crimes/sins.

Wrongs/sins committed by A against B.

C is killed thus compensating for the sins/wrong committed against B.

How? I don't see the link.

It's magic. It's common. It's fucking idiotic, and on top of it all, I don't think for one minute that even Drich agrees with the principle. I would absolutely loathe to be incorrect about this, but I have confidence in Drich on this count.
