Yes, especially if you are picturing the murderer screaming while being engulfed in flames without the image in any way affecting you negatively.

We have courts that handle that.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

But hell is not necessarily a literal place of fire. Christians throughout history have interpreted it metaphorically.
Rythym do you think it is wrong for courts to want justice to be done?

Wanting justice and having an incessant need for justice are different things.
Of course I want justice, but why do you feel there has to be a need for justice after death? It sounds more like revenge, to me.

Courts don't "want". They're buildings, just a part of a system.

Right, and courts pop out of thin air. You are dancing around the issue.
If there is no justice after death, when is there justice?

There is no "if" -there is no "justice after death". Our courts don't have the ability to pierce the veil and punish the dead. This is just a macabre little fantasy of yours Strodel.

There can be justice in life: but if justice is not served during life, then nothing more needs to be done. The person that caused wrong is dead and no longer here to cause more grief.
I don't feel a need for justice: even as an atheist; when someone wrongs me, I don't seek justice. Generally, I let it go. Seeking revenge/justice causes more trouble to me than it does to the other person.

Rhythm, you seem to be incapable of reasoning about ideas that you don't believe in order to get to the underlying issue of whether justice is an important part of what it means to be human or not.
You seem to want to avoid the issue. Do you think it is possible that a lack of desire for justice in the world could indicate an underlying moral corruption, a failure to despise sin and a lack of concern for others who are the victims of destructive behavior?

Much like you avoid the factual issue that there is no justice after death. God's punishment seems to be something man created because sometimes men do have to face justice during their lifetimes before they die, but sometimes men face no justice at all. Is it fair that some men never face justice during their lifetimes? Sure, but that is life. Creating a god to punish them when life did not punish them is not the answer.
