Thanks Vinnie, you even inspired me to start making my own!

If I were to create self aware beings knowing fully what they would do in their lifetimes, I sure wouldn't create a HELL for the majority of them to live in infinitely! That's not Love, that's sadistic. Therefore a truly loving god does not exist!

Quote:The sin is against an infinite being (God) unforgiven infinitely, therefore the punishment is infinite.

Dead wrong.  The actions of a finite being measured against an infinite one are infinitesimal and therefore merit infinitesimal punishment.

Quote:Some people deserve hell.

I say again:  No exceptions.  Punishment should be equal to the crime, not in excess of it.  As soon as the punishment is greater than the crime, the punisher is in the wrong.

You could also say that of religion. You just don't, because you're a troll who's only here to start sick fires.

I like Vinny. His posts provide comedy which is unlike any other I seen on this forum. I think he is doing it on purpose to.

Living in a traditionally catholic country, it's not like I can ditch christmas...
And having 3 kids yearning for presents doesn't help!

For the past week, they've been counting down the days till christmas.

So, what do we do when the day comes?

On the evening of the 24th, we have dinner with my dad and brother, at my place. Presents pertaining to those two outsiders are distributed. Kids get toys and chocolates... yeah! But only after going through a nice meal of Bacalhau with some veggies, like cabagges, carrots... everything boiled and covered in olive oil... The traditional christmas dinner.

On the 25th, everyone wakes up to find more presents near the fireplace! yeah!

Then we have lunch at my in-laws. More presents for the kids... perhaps one for the adults! Tongue

Then, on the 1st of January, we got o my mum's place for lunch. More presents!! We used to do this on the 26th, but she now has work on that day, so we postponed.

Did anyone count on how many occasions the kids get presents in one single christmas?

I love xmas, like, I really like it. It's essentially a secular festival nowadays, at least in the UK. Sure it's rammed full of christian iconography but there is so much pillaged from other religions and traditions that it's basically a free-for-all that everyone can enjoy.

Here in the U.S., Boxing Day is when you put all the unwanted gifts you got back in the box and hightail it down to the store to exchange it for something you want. Smile

The remains of xmas dinner, often disguised as sandwiches, telly which didn't make the xmas day cut, the realisation that, after all the build-up, xmas is as far away as it ever was. I have no idea of its origin but interestingly for me, I understand that it also used to be called St Stephen's day or the Feast of Stephen (of Good King Wenceslas fame). Alternate spelling aside, since it shares my real name my lifelong attempts to claim it as my own special day and feast thereon are ongoing.

On Boxing day it used to be the tradition to give tradesmen and servants a little something. This something for whatever reason was known as the Christmas box, hence boxing day.

In my house we mainly roll around on boxing day saying either "my belly " or "my Head" depending on what vice we most went for on Christmas day.

Your respect is neither desired or required.

Just run off and tell the other sheeple how those nasty atheists were mean to you.
