You know...that's the thing about miracles. When we read the narratives we're told to accept a whopper. A miracle. But the miracle on the page is small potatoes compared to the uncountable number of miracles required to make it happen. The deluge would be a miracle...but only a footnote in the long litany of miracles that must have preceded and then followed it. This god supposedly made the countless worlds in the observable universe, and he's so very moral such that he's the only way we know that killing is bad, so why not skip the genocide altogether, fuck off and leave Earth alone, and try again on a new playing field? It's not like he was attached to any specific creature he'd made the first time, he was going to kill them all!
