No it isn't circular at all Dar. That's a simplistic and brainless comment. Yes I can successfully factually argue the point that making out God is bad is selective misinterpretation. I've done so many times here.

Well the only sensible conclusion is that God is good. You can sensibly not believe at all, but you can't deny logic. Or are you saying you don't agree with other logical conclusions too?

Please show me where the logic is in your disposition.

Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence - Carl Sagan
Mankind's intelligence walks hand in hand with it's stupidity.
Being an atheist says nothing about your overall intelligence, it just means you don't believe in god. Atheists can be as bright as any scientist and as stupid as any creationist.
You never really know just how stupid someone is, until you've argued with them.

Why is that the only sensible conclusion? A stranger to Christianity coming to the Bible for the first time and reading it thoroughly would not, I'm sure, come to the conclusion that the character called 'God' was at all good.
Surely, after reading of all the vile and heinous acts born out of anger, a vastly over inflated ego, petty jealousy, homophobia and all the rest, it would be illogical to conclude that this character was in any way 'good'! Unless of course you have a vastly different definition of the word from mine.

Look up Exodus 21:21. God (presumably) condones the beating of slaves. The 'Good Book' (probably the worst misnomer since the Nazis rebranded Auschwitz as 'Unce Adolf's Happy Fun Camp') is full of such examples. Furthermore, by whose standards is God good? His own? In which case, that just means God says he's good, and that's that. Or is he good by objective standards? In which case, how can God be the source of morals?

It's not a question in any doubt Dar. The facts are clear. Yeah it may be humorous to say the opposite, but it's no more than an adolescent style joke.
I'm sorry folks I'm not gonna confront all the skeletons in your own particular cupboards. Annatar asked the question here. Let him have his questions without you all spoiling it before it starts k.

You are picking the wrong quotes there, The Omnissiunt One. To keep it perfectly circular only pick the quotes that fit the picture!
