I have done a fuck load more with the bible than you, GC. I've analyzed it in great detail. I've researched the life of jesus. I've examined the history, the theology, the proceeding events, the language, the motivations and the changes over time. I can examine it from every angle free from bias, I can evaluate any particular part of it to see if it meets up with reality.
You see, something is not automatically true because someone wrote it down. Even if they wrote it down a long time ago. In fact, the longer ago it was, the less likely it is true, if no supporting evidence can be found.
It's a tough job even finding a few incidental details in the bible that match up with reality. And you really don't want to know all I've found out about jesus.

Oh, and I don't really need to read all the bible and fully understand it - I trust the opinions of other well read forum members on that subject.
I can, however, form a basis of opinion of the parts I have read - Genesis as a starter for 10, simply has no place in 2015. My 10/11 year old kids tear that apart as the myth it obviously is. If they can see through that bollocks, then you GC, as an adult should surely be able to? My kids do have the obvious advantage of not having Genesis being fact forced down their throats from the moment they were born, but still, I think there's hope for you yet.
Fairy tale shit is for children GC, just fucking grow up and feel reality for once in your life.

Look up the appendix, Darwin's point, the vomeronasal organ, coccyx or the auricular muscles - to name a few.

He didn't you read into it what makes you feel right, even though you're wrong. There have been body parts that were considered useless, now we know better. Aren't you glad God designed the body to be able with though the appendix, how many would die if we couldn't survive without it. So, just because we do not understand what uses some of these things have doesn't mean they do not have a purpose.
