Hehehe, the ancient aliens crowds loves Rig Veda. I'm with you though, their myths (and honestly, almost everyone's myths) are worlds better than christian myths.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

How fucking sweet (and idiotic) of you. EVERYTHING you argue is based on your personal conjecture and faith, as are your reasons to pray. You are here to argue what you personally believe or you would get a clue and disappear like so many drippy theists have before you. You're so brainwashed that you don't even realize the depth of your hypocrisy. Your blindness to reason and selectivity in response speak volumes and show your lack of depth.
Lack of depth?
I actually think it is atheism which lacks depth.
The "drippy theist" thinks something.
The atheist thinks nothing.

Correction, the atheist thinks about things without the crutch of god standing in for knowledge that isn't possessed.

Why are we still humouring someone who obviously has not done the faintest bit of research towards what he refers?

If all we do is part of god's "Master Plan", then by definition, anything we do is what God wanted us to do. Hell could only, by definition, be part of god's Master Plan, which would be in line with Calvin's predestination. We would therefore be punished for doing exactly what we were supposed to do, because we cannot act contrary to the Master Plan, else we would introduce a paradox.
So, if the Master Plan allows for us to make real and essentially random choices when they present themselves to us, it is either a plan with obvious flaws which we are punished for acting upon, or else we are deluded by believing we have legitimately free will.

Wow! did you know after 26 pages you are the first to bring this up?
Of course your not. (It's like you guys are al programed to think the same way.) How was this arguement defeated the 1/2 a dozen times before??? Your going to have to go back and read. or simply present "God's plan."

As it is still being brought up, obviously you haven't defeated the argument to anyone's satisfaction except your own.
But if you can't answer it, that's cool.

That's an interesting way of putting it. I don't think you've accounted for all the atheists, if any, though.
I don't fit into your description. As a former theist, can you please explain to me how I got to my current state without thinking about anything?
