Lighten up. Make some friends. Talk about your views, not how "it's all them evil other people." You'll live longer and have more fun. And probably convince more people to consider your side of things.

What follows is not targeting the OP or conservatives in general, but rather speaks to all participants in controversial / political discussions. It's also my personal opinion (i.e. the staff hat is off).

Arguing for arguments' sake grows tiresome and generates far more heat than light. Having been on vastly different sides of the political spectrum, I see this sort of thing (viewing the opposition as evil, or stupid, etc) from all sides to varying degrees. While people in power may in fact be motivated by personal gain etc, around here we're just regular people with honest differences in opinion.

It's pretty difficult to convince someone to reconsider their position or see the merits of yours that way, in my opinion.

I don't know why you're making this a believer / non-believer issue. This incident is completely unrelated to that. The investigation is still ongoing and no one knows much about the shooter yet except that he had some issues with FRC.

The shooter has been identified as 28 year old Floyd Corkins who is a volunteer at a LGBT center. So far the shooting seems to be politically motivated....

You might not have raised the issue of abortion, but you posted a misleading photo, as most womb invaders do. I'm not a fan of abortion, but I'm not stupid enough to think it is legal to abort a baby that looks like it might be born any second. Equating flushing out a small group of cells with the murder of a living, breathing doctor is stupidity. Plain and simple.

I followed the trail of the photo by the url and that is a fetus at 17 weeks. That is five weeks past the abortion cut-off for 88% of abortions.
