Jesus, Least Fit Moral Judge

RE: Jesus, Least Fit Moral Judge
Drich, come on. Leviticus lays it down pretty clearly: lie with a man as you would with a woman, get put to death. I honestly can't think of a more clear biblical instruction than that.

Right, well I have no idea what the history of your country has to do with Crusaders. You still haven't even begun to counter my argument apart from suggesting that the term "terrorist" carries with it emotional baggage. Well, I have given you my definition of terrorist and I have explained how Christians once fell into that category.

Really? Are you that ignorant of the Holy Word that you aren't aware of the verse we Christians, True ™ and otherwise quote when we protest gay ri... I mean, The Homosexual Agenda?

Quote:Lev 20:13 If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.

Here. If you have trouble reading, I have an online Bible with pictures and legos to spell it all out for you:

What is so hard to understand about how the bible was compiled? Two distinct religions are being repersented by one book. Anything OT was written to Old testament Jews. The New testament was written to Christianity.

This means if you are having a Christian conversation you must look between the Book of Matthew and the book of Jude to define Christian commands. As Leviticus is an OT book it those commands were written to OT Jews. Even Modern Jews do not follow all of those commands anymore.

Red herring. You were liberally calling everyone who dose not think as you do a Terrorist. Using that word to envoke an emotional response rather than discussing the particulars. I gave an example that not all 'terrorists' were as you were trying to protray them.

Quote:You still haven't even begun to counter my argument apart from suggesting that the term "terrorist" carries with it emotional baggage. Well, I have given you my definition of terrorist and I have explained how Christians once fell into that category.
To which I demonstrated that 'terrorism' is a relitive term. One man's terorist is another revolutionary, Founding Father, trail breaker, Hero.

Your whole arguement insists that your current way of life is some sort of absolute standard and all who oppose your understanding of what a soceity should be is commiting some sort of soceitial sin. What I have shown is your 'stanard' is about as vaild outside the borders of the community that embraces it, as current middle eastern social standards are to you. your tring to argue a trivial variable and do not even know it. This is why the rest of the world hates westerners. Because Who are you to say your way is the only right way?

Leviticus 20:13

"'If a man lies with a man as one lies with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They must be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads.

Quote:Again show me. Book chapter and verse.

Exodus 22:18

Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live.

Matthew 5:17-20

"Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. I tell you the truth, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished. Anyone who breaks one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do the same will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever practices and teaches these commands will be called great in the kingdom of heaven. For I tell you that unless your righteousness surpasses that of the Pharisees and the teachers of the law, you will certainly not enter the kingdom of heaven.

Christians must abide by the aforementioned Mosaic laws (as well as all the rest), if they are interested in not burning forever in Hell. Therefore, the Ugandan government is (in this specific instance, at least) following directions right out of the Bible.

I wonder what the quota of burnt witches and murdered homosexuals might be to get a spot like, you know, right side of the table 5 chairs down from the almighty......I'm guessing, given the number of people at the table....that it would be impressive.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

what does fulfill them mean ryan?
Before you spend alot of time twisting up the scriptures to support a strict english reading, this link provides a good commentary on what the Greek actually records.

My God, even Catfish is a better Christian than you are and until now I thought he set the standard for just how phony a Christian can be!

Don't you even know something as basic as Christianity being the fulfillment of Judaism? Judaism is a distinct religion? WTF are you a Marcionite? I thought we killed off those heretics long ago. Seriously, this is basic theological stuff here.

But if you need something from the NT because you are a surviving Marcionite heretic:

Quote:Romans 1:32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.

I knew you would focus on this in order to get out of the trap, but it doesn't work.

I tell you the truth, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished.

As the events depicted in Revelation have not yet occurred, everything is not accomplished. Earth is still here (and, one presumes, Heaven hasn't gone anywhere if you're a believer).

Furthermore, Jesus makes his point very clear with the following direct command:

Anyone who breaks one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do the same will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever practices and teaches these commands will be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

Therefore, it is obvious that the Law of Moses is still in full effect and God still expects every believer to follow it to the letter. There is no confusing the Holy Psychopath's intent here.
