Atheists aggressive proselytize nihilism to children and young adults, luring them in with pornography, through state subsidized education which often teaches atheism despite 80% of America being Christian and through Hollywood and the mainstream media which are full of sensuality and violence and a worldview hostile to Christianity. They do this to make money, without concern for values. While many of these people are not actually atheists, the cultural movement is heavily indebted to atheism and liberal views of religion which go hand in hand.
Atheists do not make any effort whatsoever to define how to be a good person. They have no structure to replace the church. They have no answer when their kids are all victims of drug abuse. They have competing theories about how to be a good person, but there is no authority. They don't seem to care that they lead their converts into nihilism.
Atheists get there message through using music. They try and teach young kids it is ok to have sex before marriage. They tell them it is ok because they care get an abortion later. Much of the atheism in the US does not happen through careful analysis of philosophical texts, it happens through people being exposed to music that is very sexual, appeals to peoples sense of rebelliousness, and offers a world without rules or constaints.
One other thing: atheists are commonly liars. Atheists lie all the time. I have been in so many debates with atheists where they would twist what they were saying to such a huge degree that it was clear that they had no idea what they were talking about and they didn't care. Atheists are often very arrogant. They are proud, but typically they have not read more than a few books from the other perspective. Atheists are typically very uneducated about religion. When you compare them to the average, religious, unsaved person in America, who goes to church once a year, yes that is true, they may know more about the Bible than them. But when you compare atheist knowledge of the scriptures with Christians, or if you yourself are somewhat knowledgeable about the details, you will get annoyed at the lies and arrogance of the atheist movement, as they advance their agenda with anime and videogames and marijuana and pornography, all aimed not at the mind, but at the senses, and the senses of the young.
I have met several atheists who were proud of being assholes. I would say this is representative of much of the group. They actually self-identified with the term "asshole".
I could go on and on.

Yay, stereotypes!
And to break your stereotype: I've read loads of religious books, I don't do drugs at all, I don't drink, I'm still a virgin (not on purpose), and I've admitted to being wrong a few times in debates with theists.
And I hate anime. I hate music written in the last 200 years, and I hate most of Hollywood.
The porn however...

The Education system is there to teach kids about the world around them and to turn them into the future workforce, keeping the economy moving.
It wouldn't do to teach kids that they could believe something and that would be enough. The boss only pays when you present your work, not when you present promises.
Churches exist to provide the religious point of view.
It seems like you'd prefer if schools were also churches.... a strange notion...

This is what I reconstructed from your badly mangled sentence:
They tell them it's ok [to have sex?] because they can get an abortion later [if they get pregnant].
Yes, they can get an abortion. It's a normal natural reaction when the pregnancy has no positive outcome. You should read more, animals in the wild do it with no medical assistance.... not a nice thing.
Oh, and many christian girls get abortions... would you prefer that they would do them at home, using folk knowledge, or do them at a medical facility with trained staff?

That they are contradictory.
That they have all the faults of the peoples from where they originated.
But again, I don't know about the US.... those people are crazy, judging from all the shows I watch on TLC

I don't hate atheist people per say. But I find myself saying, yes, I am atheist but am not not one of those types.
But like fundamental theist, fundamental atheist are a mean spirit lot that have little in the way of accepting views that don't match theirs.

Could you possibly stereotype us any more? According to you, we're all porn-addicted, intrinsically dishonest, pot-smoking, anime-watching, videogame-toting, adolescent-behavioured, pro-choice, child-corrupting, liberal, money-grubbing, nihilistic, sex-addicted, arrogant, theologically clueless, assholes.
How damn dare you, you condescending, close-minded, high-horsed, sanctimonious, strawman-constructing, theist.
If I had any confidence that you had the capacity to accept that those who don't follow along in the wake of your sadistic, misogynistic, homophobic, morally bankrupt religion, aren't all the reprehensible sludge of society you imagine them to be, then I'd take the time to point it out to you.
I think it'd be best if you just left, frankly, because I'm fairly confident that you'll never accept that the world can't be the black and white way you want it to be.
If you believe it, question it. If you question it, get an answer. If you have an answer, does that answer satisfy reality? Does it satisfy you? Probably not. For no one else will agree with you, not really.

You didn't make any argument there. Of course not all atheists fit those stereotypes. The fact that something is a stereotype does not make it false, and calling it a stereotype does not prove it is false. Political correctness is not one of the pillars reality is constructed upon.
Quote:How damn dare you, you condescending, close-minded, high-horsed, sanctimonious, strawman-constructing, theist.
condescending - I am never condescending to people in real life, unless I feel it is merited. I think it is worth being condescending to atheists that use the internet and the allure of sex and freedom and false arguments to ensnare young people. This is a fact that this happens.
close-minded - I am not close minded. Politically I have been a radical for much of my life and I still am to some degree. I majored in philosophy in college and have studied many atheist books. I try to understand the truth whether it agrees with my theology or not, and try and reconcile them afterwards. I think you would find me to be a very likeable fellow in real life.
high-horsed - I am not high horsed, but I do consider myself to be better than those who try to lead young people into nihilism by using sex and drugs. This is a substantial portion of the atheist community (not all).
sanctimonious - I am a sinner like everyone else.
strawmen - Where do you see a strawman?
Quote:If I had any confidence that you had the capacity to accept that those who don't follow along in the wake of your sadistic, misogynistic, homophobic, morally bankrupt religion, aren't all the reprehensible sludge of society you imagine them to be, then I'd take the time to point it out to you.
It is not that I imagine atheists to be something, it is that I was an atheist. I am not homophobic, I have actually flirted with homosexuality in my life. I am not misogynistic either, and to call the Christian teachings on women (whether conservative or liberal) misogynistic is to seriously misunderstand them. Many protections exist for women in Christian community that are absolutely lacking outside, whether the bar scene or the abortion clinic or the porno studio.
Quote:I think it'd be best if you just left, frankly, because I'm fairly confident that you'll never accept that the world can't be the black and white way you want it to be.
What makes you think the world I live in is black and white? I spend many hours every day analyzing language and culture and the epistemology and logic of the world around me. I spend probably 4 hours a day or so doing this, just thinking.
I acknowledge that there are plenty of Christians out there who do the same things atheists do, but a lot of the time it is because they are influenced by the atheistic culture of rock and roll, hollywood and the universities and the bar scene. It is true that Christians fall, but it is also true that the atheist movement, to a large degree spreads a net for their feet.

Considering I've never met a single a theist who use drugs, corrupts children, or half the rest of what you've accused the atheist community of, and being one I've met a lot of atheists int he several societies I've been a part of, I call your claim baseless assertions stemming from willful smear-campaigning until you can provide some evidence to the contrary.
Your various accomplishments as spelled out here by you, whilst impressive on their own, don't lend any credence to this ad hominem nonsense you've plastered the atheist community with.
Quote:condescending - I am never condescending to people in real life, unless I feel it is merited. I think it is worth being condescending to atheists that use the internet and the allure of sex and freedom and false arguments to ensnare young people. This is a fact that this happens.

sanctimonious - I am a sinner like everyone else.
strawmen - Where do you see a strawman?
Condescending: Proscribing your moral model upon us as though infallible, and not considering that perhaps it might be wrong.
High-horsed: Considering yourself above things that you've accused the atheist community of, whilst you follow a religion that is one of the most demonstrably vile, inhumane dogmas the human race has ever constructed
Sanctimonious: See "condescending".
Strawman: Constructing this false impression of the atheist community to attack as opposed to the actual community itself.
It reminds me forcibly of the argument against bisexuality, when opponents point at the fake bisexual people who're really just nymphomaniacs as opposed to actual bisexual people, and claim that all bisexuals are whores based on their actions.
So I ask you to provide evidence in favour of these accusations that the atheist community is really the dreggs of society you seem to be under the impression we are. Otherwise it's an unfounded insult, and if it's going to descend into that, then christians will hardly come off looking quite so divine either.
If you believe it, question it. If you question it, get an answer. If you have an answer, does that answer satisfy reality? Does it satisfy you? Probably not. For no one else will agree with you, not really.
