My daughter has been at her high school since 5:30 this morning. The local news station did an early morning pep rally for the upcoming homecoming football game. All the fall sports teams were required to be there. It was pretty neat. Unfortunately I woke up late and missed most of it. But she texted me during the news cast so I got to see some of it.

Dad has figured that the Lepai amp We’ve been toying with for the last week is probably not Guitar amp material, especially given that A) it’s proving a bit too complicated and expensive to make it compatible with guitar and B) it’s still a bit too quiet for a 40w (or even a 20w) amp.

We’re planning to replace it with this amp. It is a bit less powerful than the Lepai, but its input is designed for guitar, and if we can bypass the stock tone stack and incorporate the AC-Tone (which has its own tone stack) into the circuit, it’ll be perfect.
