Traditionally we call this eternal aspect of existence God though you can still say it's some kind of unintentional purposeless natural force if you really want to. Ignore all the complex natural balance of the physical constants and the overwhelming power of the human experience of God if you like. But we can at least establish the existence of some kind of a God or eternal element the universe exists within.

Or, it could just be that the concept of time is nonsensical in the conditions before the big bang. We could be one of a concurrent series of universes without an end. Time travel might be involved. There are many more possibilities than we can even conceive of; for all we know, the actual truth could be so far beyond our grasp that we never understand the full truth of it.

None of that, however, justifies your belief in a god. Hence the special pleading.

I would refrain from doing so, if he didn't cram links in his signature and profile.

I don't miss him already. Might just be a side effect of my own glue sniffing, though...

Reminds me of a joke (I'll try to translate as best as I can from Swedish to English).

All the children were good at pronunciation, except for Stu,
because he liked to sniff glue.
When I was young, there was a god with infinite power protecting me. Is there anyone else who felt that way? And was sure about it? but the first time I fell in love, I was thrown down - or maybe I broke free - and I bade farewell to God and became human. Now I don't have God's protection, and I walk on the ground without wings, but I don't regret this hardship. I want to live as a person. -Arina Tanemura

One advantage of living in a western time zone is that by the time I get up the trash has been taken out.

You miss all the fun! It's so easy to focus whatever aggressions I have on those lowlifes, get them banned and then I can stay sweet and focused on the members that matter. It's almost better therapy than bubble wrap Big Grin

I read them anyway, dear. At my age I have to get my blood pressure up in the morning.
