Oh, now we're talking about "innocent" polytheists? Wonder why the Quran doesn't mention this exception. It clearly states that all polytheists are to be murdered. Do not try to call me ignorant, I've read the whole Quran twice, and I can see that this book, like any other holy book, is full of contradictions and nonsense.

Lets be fair here. How old would Joseph have been if he had been real? How old would Mary have been if she had been real? The truth is that girls in antiquity were married young because of the mortality rate in reality. Humans had to pump out as many kids as quickly as possible because there was no modern medicine and much more death and disease in pregnancy. Mary would have been 9-14 years old on average.

The problem though is mo is revered as a model to be emulated. You would think Allah might have foreseen the difficulties this would cause in the future, but no he did not.
Hence we have all sorts of behaviors throughout many parts of the Islamic world, repulsive to our modern sensibilities and justified by the behavior of a reprehensible character from a book of fiction. Boko Haram springs to mind.
