It's basically saying, "If you bias yourself enough, you can convince yourself that this is true." If religion were true, people wouldn't need faith to believe it -- it would be supported by good evidence. RE: People with nice lives who think they're blessed

Time for you to squirm and learn. You loved being the master at the easy levels. Now you're not sure you want to continue the game? Fortunately when I went through that I didn't have the option to broadcast my foolishness out over the internet. But I don't think I ever felt as entitled to the good stuff as you seem to feel. You might try seeing the good stuff as a gift. Try to deserve it. Unfortunately, I've had a disability for my entire life now, so much of my life was played on Veteran Mode. If this guy wants to complain that his (probably cushy, upper middle class, First World, white, male, teenaged) life is bad and he says we should all just quit, then he should tell that to my face. My parents and I didn't give up even when the doctors told my parents they should.
Luke: You don't believe in the Force, do you?
Han Solo: Kid, I've flown from one side of this galaxy to the other, and I've seen a lot of strange stuff, but I've never seen *anything* to make me believe that there's one all-powerful Force controlling everything. 'Cause no mystical energy field controls *my* destiny. It's all a lot of simple tricks and nonsense. (August 7, 2014 at 11:25 am)Mozart Link Wrote: This life is nothing but sheer luck. Indeed, if i had luck........ I wouldn't need game.
Maybe that's it, the OP needs to get laid?
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!
I'm assuming OP is 12 so maybe he should wait a couple of years.
Sounds like the OP needs to obtain an illegal smile. (listen to John Prine's song)
No ones got a perfect life. Next time you see someone driving a $300,000 car give them a wave. I'll guarantee they'll wave back, cos they got no fucking friends. The outwardly happy couple with the swell house will have all the usual shit going on. Doesn't mean you can't enjoy your crap life. Sure at the end of the day you'll be just 90Kg of Biomass but meanwhile!!! (August 7, 2014 at 5:17 pm)Losty Wrote: I'm assuming OP is 12 so maybe he should wait a couple of years. Well...if it's gonna keep him from hanging himself from the sustainably sourced clothes rack in his mommy's louvered full length walk in with his dads favorite pair of pantyhose.......I'll chip in the money for a rough hooker named Steve.

People who have come close to death, or had survived a disease like cancer, seem to enjoy life more than ever, many take life for granted and don't realize its value until something bad happens in their life. This feeling that is experienced after such an event, is pure bliss, call it whatever, why be so clinical about the beauty of life, yes we are truly blessed, we only need to awaken to this truth
Get therapy or a life coach or some kind of professional help man, you can't keep up like this.
Seriouly pal every time I read one of your threads I feel like I'm reading Edgar Allan Poe. |
