You're supposed to go along with the joke, not be part of it
If the hypothetical idea of an afterlife means more to you than the objectively true reality we all share, then you deserve no respect.

Give me something I can point to and compare against non-god things.point of the story is that evidence via the 5 senses wouldn't be verifiable. one poster said they would have to ask a few questions first but that wouldn't help to establish proof. the first 2 working together is plenty to establish God's existence; 3 and 4 is additional verification. some have a willful disbelief but feign an intellectual problem with the data, others admit the truth. of course there is problem with the truth, like the poet wrote: it like dust, it keeps hanging around, just can't get rid of the stuff. 1. " through nature --- for since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen. 2. through a person’s conscience - the spirit, or mind. the sense of right and wrong testifies. 3. scripture is the His revelation. 4. through the person of Jesus Christ."
Atheist Credo: A universe by chance that also just happened to admit the observer by chance.
I have no beliefs in a god, but if I was a god I would be hiding also, who could put up with all those nuts bringing their shopping lest and wanting this and that day and night.

1. " through nature --- for since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen.
-what are those attributes specifically and where can they be clearly seen? In parasitic wasps, bot flies, and tapeworms perhaps? 2. through a person’s conscience - the spirit, or mind. the sense of right and wrong testifies. -testifies to what, that they have a sense of right and wrong, what does that have to do with some second party? 3. scripture is the His revelation. -which scripture, and how do you know that it is his revelation? 4. through the person of Jesus Christ." -the person of whom? You know the guy, have talks...does he come over for beer and brats on sunday and bitch about the Buccs? Your soul making theodicy from the last page, btw....you're probably going to want to ditch that if someone sinks their teeth into it. It will end up saying things about your god that are likely to be unacceptable to you.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!
There is seldom anything to be gained in attempting to have a true believer see logic, especially if they imagine the texts they work from weren't authored by members of our species and have never been tampered with by the many opposed branches of Christianity.
The Human Race is insane.

"Well, evolution is a theory. It is also a fact. And facts and theories are different things, not rungs in a hierarchy of increasing certainty. Facts are the world's data. Theories are structures of ideas that explain and interpret facts. Facts don't go away when scientists debate rival theories to explain them. And humans evolved from ape- like ancestors whether they did so by Darwin's proposed mechanism or by some other yet to be discovered."

Han Solo: Kid, I've flown from one side of this galaxy to the other, and I've seen a lot of strange stuff, but I've never seen *anything* to make me believe that there's one all-powerful Force controlling everything. 'Cause no mystical energy field controls *my* destiny. It's all a lot of simple tricks and nonsense. RE: Why Would God Hide?
