Firstly, why should 1 or 4 be derogatory?
In 1 I simply supplied some examples of nature - which is where you said I would find evidence of his attributes.
In 4 I suggested ways in which you might know this person. After all, that's how I know a great many people. I take it he isn't a drinking buddy and you aren't a Buccs fan (get out)?

I actually came to a different understanding, that god was created in mans image...and that some of us simply wish to be slaves. hrugs: To be fair, the latter part didn;t come directly from scripture, but in the way that people handled scripture. What I got from scripture itself (regarding purpose) was that the author was a very, very lonely person.

Snowtracks, Your answers are becoming completely pathetic. It's almost as if you don't have a direct contact or relationship with the god who is all knowing. Is your prayer line on the fritz? Why can't you just ask Jesus directly why he hides? Don't you fucking talk to him anymore??

A form of madness maybe but one our species has been prone to since the first witch-doctors and possibly earlier.

I believe that god hiding would have alot to do with our "free will" or possibly incapacity to show himself more evidently, also, would it really be a positive thing to god to show himself?
Why would a god reveal itself? If we had religious wars over imaginary gods, imagine how it'd be with certainty of him. xD
Certainly, i think, it makes no difference for him if the universe does follow his purposes anyway.
I read a short story yesterday from Isaac Asimov called the Last Answer. Interesting stuff, the conclusion kind of makes alot of sense in itself. Our purpose xd.

Meh, if he could pop down and clear some shit up, that would be swell. If he can't, then I have doubts as to whether or not he deserves the title - but I sympathize with his situation (as any creature capable of experiencing isolation and loneliness would). Brings up an interesting line of wondering - what if god has lost his shit - might go a long way towards explaining things here and there?

(that's a good short btw, you an Asimov fan?) Well i'm not speaking necessarily for my own beliefs, but pantheism suggests that god "transformed" into the universe in order to create, and so the universe is a "phase" where he sacrificed his "being" temporarily in order to become the creation itself.
One of the interesting things i find that makes sense to me in Last Answer, is suggesting that God created the universe to think for him. xD.
I mean, not humanity for sure, but i believe that artificial intelligence for example can have close to unlimited self-improvement. Who knows, our purpose would actually be to create a "multivac" after all. xD
And that would lead us to "The Last Question" by Isaac Asimov. Interesting stuff too, xD.

Pretty mind blowing story eh? I'd also recommend nightfall if you have not read that yet. I robot is amazing too, especially the ones with Stephen.
