I feel like the exact opposite is true.

Being sexually attracted to men and women = bisexual.

Having sexual intercourse with both men and women does not necessarily = bisexual.

Consent is the difference between rape and healthy sex, -not- between heterosexuality and homosexuality....ffs....

How, in your system, would I handle a female prostitute who takes johns for all they're worth, consentually, but doesn't enjoy it (it's just a job)? A woman who, point of fact, is only attracted to females and when she's not at work, only has intercourse with females. Is she hetero, bi, or homosexual? Same questions would apply for a male prostitute with the necessary bits reversed. Or even as is.

Man, if it weren't for my wife, I'd choose to be gay just to piss this people off. It is a choice, right? But how does that work? Is it like in the Matrix, someone comes and says, choose the pink pill or the blue pill, and then I take the pink pill and it looks like my hand melts into stuff, but it's really just crisco? The poll answers are flawed. Homosexuality is not something you have a "right" to be, because you can't choose to be it. It's like asking if someone has the "right" to be tall or short.

What's to say that's real Christianity? I say its corrupted Christianity used to keep citizens in line during the dark ages.
It's called CHRIST-ianity. Based on the ideas of CHRIST, not the early hebrews. We follow CHRIST. I know he said law won't be erased, but he was talking about ten commandments, because he DID break laws like the sabbath law.

Did he not stop the woman from being killed by stoning? Do you think he would beat his wife if he had one? Do you think he would scold/ deny her permission if she wanted to . . . Become a scholar, wanted a degree, get a job. Would he beat her.

NO! He wouldn't do any of that. THAT'S what we are to live by. THAT'S what real Christianity is! The Christianity of the middle ages was nothing more than a way of control

Well I'm glad to know you know exactly what "real" Christianity is. I'll inform the masses. Additionally, I can't say I've heard someone claim Jesus was only talking about the Ten Commandments specifically when he mentions The Law. Which version of the ten commandments? And why only those ten? The rest of the OT doesn't apply?

You do understand that the New Testament literally contains the words "slaves obey your Masters," right?

Did Jesus ever specifically correct the oppressive commandments about gays in the old testament? I mean, you'd think if he gave a shit that'd be the first thing on his agenda.

Seriously, how do you know any of that beyond your own sense of wishful thinking? It's not mentioned in the book, you've got no set of reference or justification for your claims here, and worse, even if you did have passages in the bible to point to, those don't mean a damn thing.

Because the bible was not written by anyone who had even a passing relationship with Jesus.

For all your claims of christianity being about following christ and nothing else, you're basing your view of what christ was like from a set of books written decades after his death, by people who never met him and are, in fact, anonymous, that has been translated and edited and pared down and altered so many times over the years... It's not even hearsay. It's stories made up about a dude who might not even have existed, by people who never even saw him if he did, that we know have been altered over time.

And you're willing to take that as an accurate representation of what the guy thinks?
