Genesis 3

Genesis 3
Genesis 3:

And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:
Therefore the LORD God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken.
So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life.

I was going through Genesis again for the lulz, and started thinking about this. The reason that god gives for kicking people out of Eden is that they could eat of the tree of life and be immortal. That they wouldn't need him "the man has become as one of us," God says. Nowhere in this is sin mentioned. Only fear and trepidation.

By the by, notice the plural "us" that is used. Who is God talking to?

There's also the implication that since the man does not have eternal life that he would have died anyway even without eating the fruit of the knowledge of good and evil. So god is a liar too.

The us was most likely the other heavenly hosts; angels, most likely.

There is no "most likely". When it comes to 'holy' books, all bets are off.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

There are a ton of clues in Genesis that the Hebrews conception of god didn't become singular, all powerful, or so abstract until quite late.

Better yet there's archeological evidence that they worshiped multiple local Yahwehs each with his own goddess consort, not to mention fertility goddesses, etc., etc. And if angels aren't a kind of god, or demi-god what are they? And then there's the devil. He's pretty godlike too.
If there is a god, I want to believe that there is a god.  If there is not a god, I want to believe that there is no god.

God clearly didn't think it over creating us, because we are not eternal even adam and eve weren't before the fall.
The only thing with them is the other animals were peaceful in the garden and well all hell broke loose after eating the damn fruit.
adam and eve story is one that has so much bad word play because cain went to a city to find a wife. Hold on adam and eve and their children
are the only people well humans in existence so WHERE THE HELL DID A CITY COME FROM WITH OTHER HUMANS?!

There are 3 members to 1 God. The Father, Son and Holy Spirit
(1John 5:7)For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.
Its refereed to as the Godhead in scripture.

We are created in Gods image(Gen1:27).
1. Body(Lord Jesus)
2. Soul(The Father)
3.Spirit(Holy Spirit)

3 members to 1 God,3 parts to 1 human.

God did not want adam and eve to eat of the fruit of the tree under their corrupted fallen nature. They died spiritually that day and physically years later.

Just an interesting point...Jewish people do not believe in original sin. Considering that they were the original writers of the book of Genesis, you would think that their interpretation would carry more weight then the Christians who came later.

Verses 1-21 "mention sin" (and the repercussions of it) why would it need to be mentioned in every verse till the end of the chapter if a reader is being honest about what he is reading?

Verse 22 is a narrative statement. It tells why A&E had to leave the garden.

What's more verse 22 tells us that before the fell from grace A&E were immortal. In that God gave them permission to eat from every tree in the garden except from the tree of the knoweledge of Good and evil.

(That is why I can say we do not know how long between the end of creation and the fall of man, could have been a day month, or the bazillion years 'science' says evolution needed to catch the rest of the world up with how God created the garden and what was in it.)

Just in case you missed why they were booted wasn't because God feared they would become immortal as you surmised. God at the fall full filled his promise to end their lives as they knew them (immortal lives) and made them mortal. They had already proven themselves to not be trust worthy around trees with low hanging fruit, so they were expelled so they like the other two members of the trinity (the 'we' you were asking about) would not be immortal and have the full knoweledge of good and evil.
