Questions about noah ark

It's actually even more hilariously ironic than that. The Drich that is pushing Youtube videos as unquestioned evidence is the same Drich that posted these gems:

At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

How so? Literally the only thing posted by a theist after the OP but before Stimbo's comment was your smilies.

(January 15, 2015 at 8:51 am)Drich Wrote: From here it looks like the collective answer so far is a big nuh-uh! The floods not real, so their couldn't be a boat on top of a mountain!

The global flood isn't real, so if there actually were a boat on top of a mountain, it wouldn't be Noah's ark. And it seems unlikely, after all the dozens of other claims of finding the ark, that this one will turn out to be the real deal, even if there had been a global flood.

How big is that boat we cannot find? And we even know where to look.

RE: Questions about noah ark
Considering that the bible does give exact measurements for the Ark, I am surprised that someone hasn't already tried to build a replica ark and take it on a cruise already.

Quote:The ark is to be made out of gopher wood according to a plan that calls for the ark to be three hundred cubits long, fifty cubits wide, and thirty cubits tall (450x75x45 feet, according to most creationists. See Segraves, p. 11). It is to contain three floors, a large door in the side, and a one cubit square window at the top. The floors are to be divided into rooms, and all the walls, inside and out, are to be pitched with pitch.

Actually Drich might be onto something. This accurate christian artists impression of the ark shows that it was indeed possible to get all those wuvly cuddly aminals on.

Someone has. And to get it to float at all, they needed to give the thing a steel frame built on top of another steel barge, or build the thing on top of 25 already seaworthy metal vessels. So much for confidence in the biblical description of the design, eh?

There's also the fact that ships much smaller than the ark was supposed to be, made of more complex materials, were either completely not seaworthy or, in the case of the largest seaworthy ship on record, flexed so hard it needed constant bailing out to stay afloat, and eventually did sink after far less than a year at sea.

So, instead of skipping over all the "how could this possibly be seaworthy?" and "all the evidence is against the flood narrative," ideas right to the "we found the ark stage!" I think the theists have a lot of ground work still to cover before they can accuse us of ignoring evidence.

No silly, god used his magic to stop the naughty lions and leopards eating meat. They were happy eating jelly and loving out with the rest of the crew. See how happy they are in this latest representation based on actual archaeological finds which have been kept secret from everyone.
