Theists think it "should" be a religious liberty case

Theists think it "should" be a religious liberty case
Quote:Today's lead editorial in The New York Times came out in strong support of Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed for firing the city's Fire Chief, Kelvin Cochran. Cochran, as you may know was fired recently for having “antigay views.” Christian author and professor, Denny Burk, took issue with the NYT editorial on his blog, arguing that if the Atlanta Fire Chief’s termination isn’t a religious liberty case, then nothing is.

I actually disagree that someone should be fired for being anti-gay.

But yeah, freedom of religion is not being threatened. It is threatened for those who don't believe because a lot of how social institutions works [wrongly] is due to religion. (why do you think people have so many problems with sexuality, sex workers and sexual freedom? - It is a puritan idea of holy perpetuated by religion) - In your case since you mentioned you were gay you should have even bigger problems when these retards demean gay sexuality

As long as they don't excercise their discriminatory tendencies as an agent of the state then meh...on the other hand...I bet an employer can fire an employee in Georgia for fucking -anything-...at anytime. Suck it up, welcome to the real world Mr. Cochran.
