Why should people not see this film?
February 13, 2015 at 7:21 am
Would any Christians like to explain to me why the film is inappropriate for the modern audience?

The WIN/Gallup End of Year Survey 2013 found the US was perceived to be the greatest threat to world peace by a huge margin, with 24% of respondents fearful of the US followed by: 8% for Pakistan, and 6% for China. This was followed by 5% each for: Afghanistan, Iran, Israel, North Korea. -LINK

You mean life of Brian? That film was awesome. Or do you mean the interview there? That's very interesting, and nice that they were able to have that discussion.

Why should someone see it?
Because it is a lame 1970's British comedy fill with mash banger jokes and their version of slap stick.
The big irony is all of that is the core message of the movie simply trades what it defines as one sheeplessly mindless unknowable world view, for another one.

Man, and they were so polite facing this incredible patronizing, arrogant dolts. And the guy so often misses the point when he says there's nothing in this film concretely that would shake his faith. He seems like a stupid man.

I recommend an excellent movie - "Holy Flying Circus", which is a dramatization of events surrounding the release of "Life Of Brian", culminating in the debate between Cleese, Palin and representatives of Church Of England on national TV.

The expression "pearls before swine" comes to mind...

Edit: Never mind.

This film is anything but inappropriate, but people watching it might start to question the story of Jesus. And we all know, once someone starts to question it, it is very likely they will come to think of it as the bullshit it is.
So, it is better to just stamp it as inappropriate and try to make sure as little people as possible get to see it. For some religious people this is enough as they prefer to blindly follow their religious leaders advice. I can imagine if a priest in a church would say this film is inappropriate, most of the people in his congregation will avoid it.

Because you will question your beliefs and ask yourself if there is a god and or savior that's why. Its better to question your beliefs than hold onto them strongly for better or worse the truth is always better.
