Yes, I wonder what his response would be if Yahweh had been up front with him, instead of beating around the bush about creating the world and stuff.

We're supposed to believe that giving him all his property back twice over is supposed to make it better, but personally I'd find it insulting. that's just not something friends and allies are supposed to do to each other.
