Footnote to Genesis 3:7

RE: Footnote to Genesis 3:7
I was discussing. Wasn't I discussing? I'm pretty sure I was. Oh well.
Guess I'll go climb a tree and think about why I was bad. I'll try not to eat any fruit while up there.

Ok, so rule #1 is kind of like God's first (and only) rule in paradise;" This is my garden; do not eat of the tree of knowledge of good and evil." "If you eat, then surely you will die."

I go ahead and say," well, there is really no God, so I don't have to obey the rule." (An Atheist forum certainly will not reflect a story in the Bible, right?) So, I don't...and what happens next? God steps in (the Administrator of this Realm), the thread dies (a textual representation of me.)
It's kind of like religion in a different form...with different names.

Know I must be right
It's the singer not the song
The same old places and the same old songs
We've been going there for much too long
There's something wrong and it gives me that feeling
Inside that I know I must be right
It's the singer not the song.

Sure dude. You must have one hell of a dealer.

At any rate, it is our garden, no gods can save you from the banhammer. Thread lightly and try to discuss something instead of making a fool of yourself.

Sounds like a plan! But eat all the fruit you like. Indulge! Enjoy! Gross Out! Just don't "think" about it...especially "is it a bad fruit or a good fruit?" Or, "Am I eating too much?" You are who you are without judging yourself. I've come to the realization in my old age that there are enough judges in the world, I don't need to add myself to the list. Besides, my experience is that it is a great burden to judge others and myself. Another besides, it is never a full reflection of reality. What's left is pure joy (in my judgement...)

Your above post is a telltale sign there was no discussion to be had in the first place, because you are either trolling or a gibbering idiot, but I'll try either way, mostly out of sheer curiosity as to what you're going to pull out of your ass this time.

Where in the world -- other than your anus or imagination -- did you get this new version of the bible from? As in: what inspired you to fabricate it? Your mind must work in a truly fascinating fashion. What did you think you were going to achieve by this? What was the reason behind coming here at all? I'm dying to know.

So, you are appealing to authority rather than discussing the logic of my argument? "Vanity of vanities, all is vanity!"

"I don't need to make what I already am."

Daver, there is no logic to your argument. You automatically assumed your comparison is valid because since religions have rules and this forum does also, this forum is akin to religion. Bullshit. Rules are not exclusive to religions, they exist within every culture, society and communuty -- such as this one. Your comparison doesn't hold water and the fact that you think it does is laughable.

Well, I confess to the idiot part for sure. And, your curiosity is good! That is what leads us to the edge before we either jump or back away.
I am asking you to jump. And yes, you will die...only to find out you are not the one who jumped! For your information, what comes out of my ass and what comes out of my imagination is the same shit....

Thanks Norman, I needed a good laugh! Yes, it is good to laugh at yourself. Not you, me...

Yes, rules are endemic. This forum has an attribute(noun) of religion, not all of them. So why do we conclude some rules are better than other rules? It sounds like the monkeys in the trees trying to grab each other's fruit. (footnote (Z) in the fake translation). Now, where did I put my bulshitometer....?

...or you could just keep talking in gibberish, right.

My psychic powers predict a banhammer in your near future, o stoned one. Better steer clear, lest I catch your crazy.
