I really don't understand what the hub-bub is all about. I ask people to call me and think of me as Rhythm, or DJ, and they just do, no questions asked. I don't have to establish that I actually -am- Rhythm...or DJ......so why is anyone balking at what Jenner wants to be referred to as or thought of as? It's the simplest thing in the world...to allow a person to self define....we do it all the time. We've got a member here on these boards who is very plainly a woman, spend any amount of time with her and you'll see that she is........doesn't really matter that she was born swinging richard.....and no one gives -her- any shit for it.........
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

I agree on the name front. I called Sean Combs "Puff Daddy", then "P. Diddy" then just "Diddy". Caitlyn is a breeze compared to that nonsense.
I think the complexity is that it's not just the name and pronouns, some of these women want the full boat. Fallon Fox, for example, is an MMA fighter. That's when you really start to test how you feel about it all. Are you comfortable with a man transistioning to a woman, and then punching other women unconscious?
That's obviously a rare extreme example, but the point is that this isn't just about "identity".

Yup, sure am. If the fighters agree to square off then that's that, for me. I don't care if it was a 95lb self identifying -and- biological female vs a 230lb self identifying -and- biological male or VV. If they want to beat each other senseless for fun and profit, I'm happy to provide them with an audience.
Who do you think I am, captian save-a-ho? I'm not worried about the girl, I'm not worried about the guy, I'm not worried about it being "fair" - and when is it ever? All that concerns me, is that someone get's knocked the fuck out. I spent an interesting afternoon in my youth as part of a NATO combined training exercise gettin beat out of my skull by a tiny israeli female. I mean really just fucked me up. No contest. If I'd undergone surgery and self identified as a women...guess what...she'd still have beaten the shit out of me.
It''s almost as if you think it's impossible for opponents to be matched (or mismatched) based upon skill, rather than whether or not their fingers slide up and in when they put them between their legs? If this example is an extreme one, the dilemma seems pretty tame, to me.

Interesting take. Irrelevant side bar...when a chick takes a swing at a guy, like say the Ray Rice elevator video, do you think it's okay for him to demolish her with a right hook like he did?

Okay? No. To be expected? Yes. Legal? Most likely......

If they were two women of equal size however, by all means duke it out, I assume?

This sounds like Skyrim leveling to me, which I don't like. If I level through an area, I want to dominate-- not to just have the next round of opponents matched to me. So you're saying if a girl is totally dominant, say in UFC, she should be forced to fight heavier opponents or men?

Two fighters? In a ring, agreed to the match beforehand? Sure.
Just two people on the street? Nope...as before, still not okay..but once one of them starts swinging she needs to expect the other to swing back, and she might want to remind herself that it's difficult to pursue "satisfaction" against someone you will be charged with assaulting.....
Benny, hehehehehe...my man

I know right....I like to really turn the blade too...talk shit in local, the whole package.

If life were skyrim......then all bets are off....expect an arrow, shortly. Going up a weight class -is- seen as a way to challenge yourself.....and if the people you find ranked next to you as you climb are men, why not? What's going to happen...is she going to get beaten up? Pretty sure she stepped into the ring knowing -that-. Eh?
