I'm sorry, I feel partly responsible for this phenomenon.
Perhaps other married men also have this same same problem of their wives seeing them as gods.

only an oppinion but a lot of what women do is about children. If Atheism where strong and popular then that is the way the woman would go. At the moment it a relitevly new movment and so some what dangerous. Women are much about bringing their children up in a safe environment and so go with what ever nesseccery at the time so that their children can make it to adulthood. If a woman rocks the boat she might endanger her children.
