government controlling/monitoring child bearing

RE: government controlling/monitoring child bearing
If there was no Adam and Eve there was no 'fall of man' which means your boyfriend jesus had no job.  I'm used to cafeteria theists but you can't take too many cards out of the bottom or the whole thing comes tumbling down.

As to other subjects, here we have Marco 'Sleaze' Rubio who thinks he's running for emperor of the world.

Quote:Marco Rubio vows he’ll take away women’s right to choose ‘at home and around the world’

Quote:Right Wing Watch reported that Rubio called the historic Roe v. Wade decision “historically and egregiously flawed” and said that he would fight to restrict women’s right to choose “at home and around the world.”

Again.  What fucking business is it of his?

Mini, this is another lose lose situation. Tongue

If I told you I believe the story of Genesis as it is literally written, you would call me an idiot.
If I told you I believe the story of Genesis is written allegorically, you call me a cafeteria theist.

All I can do is tell you what my beliefs are and tell you that they are perfectly in line with Catholic teaching, and clear up any misconception you may have about what Church teaching is.

I have no idea who Marco Rubio is. I had never heard of him, but I'll take a look at your link!

I looked at your link. I can't tell you whether or not this guy is a genuine, good person (and I tend to be skeptical of all politicians), but I do believe that abortion should be abolished. I know no one here is going to like that I said that, but that is what my position is in regards to abortion.

Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."

You know, I am not running for Miss Congeniality around here!

I thought church teachings were absurd 40 years ago when I walked away from them.  I doubt that they have improved much with time.

Yeah, that seems to be his problem.

Hahahaha!!! I know.  Big Grin

I'm just saying you're not going to be satisfied with anything I say in regards to faith, no matter what it is. So you might as well just accept that you are going to like me even if I have some "crazy ideas."

Great movie, btw. Lol.

That's because "faith" is not an answer.  "Faith" is an excuse for not seeking an answer.

I respect your views.

What type of "drastic measures" are you referring to? You mean like finding a way to force people to not have kids?

The part you have omitted is important to the overall meaning of my post.  But by asking this question, you have inspired me to start a new poll which I invite you to respond to:

What do you think ought to be done if voluntary methods are not sufficient to prevent millions of people from starving to death?  The poll awaits you.
