GC, I realize you have the reading comprehension of a boll weevil, but pointing out what solipsism is is not the same thing as subscribing to it, much less being deluded by it. How you manage to shower without choking on the bar of soap is an enduring mystery.

Simple, I do not need to wash out my mouth for lying and demeaning others, please be careful with the bar of soap, we wouldn't want to lose you.

You tried on your own to prove God and the scriptures, when only God can do that. Again you only thought you were a Christian for 30 years, if you had truly known God you couldn't deny Him now, that's an impossibility.

Blah blah blah "No True Scotsman" blah blah blah personal revelations blah blah blah shut the fuck up.

Still reading you loud and clear, you presumptuous, pompous fop of a godslave. Pick a different color.

I know these scripts better than you do, son. You got nothin'. You're just regurgitating the lines you paid the pulpit to feed you.

I thought the color I chose was no bother to you, is this better. What makes an atheist think he could know the scriptures better than any Christian here? You didn't have a personal relationship with God, so how is it you could have possibly received any revelation from God, so it's you that can only spout what you've heard from the pulpit. I haven't always agreed with what I've heard preached even from the preacher at my church, as a matter of fact he told us to always go to the Bible if we disagreed with his sermons, an honest man that knows he's capable of mistakes. you think ministers shouldn't be paid for their work, that's ridiculous.

Hey, that must mean YOU are god! Guys, we have god in our midst! Seriously though, you have a very high and mighty attitude, and treat everyone here as though they're unworthy little insects. Not cool man. Your jesus would be very disappointed if he were here (and real).

I know you'll have something to say to me GC... So go on, I'm waiting, oh arrogant one.

Agreed DH.  GC at least on the surface seems to be exactly like the Pharisees in the Bible (you know the ones Jesus condemned for their attitude in Matthew 23).  He forgets that Jesus accepted all and ate with sinners and never did he preach the "turn or burn".  Those that call themselves Christian and act this way are not being Christian.  This is exactly why Gandhi said:  "I like your Christ.  I do not like your Christians."  I would venture to say that MOST people are turned off from Christianity, not because of Jesus, but because of people in this world that call themselves Christians.

You have a high opinion of what you profess to believe and you believe I'm wrong, so how are you different than what you accuse me of being? How am I to take what you say seriously when you aren't even sure that Christ ever lived, 95% means you have doubts. I defend what I know is right and do not compromise to be accepted by those who disagree with me, like I see you doing. Other Christians have come here in the past with your attitude and I've dealt with them the same as I am doing with you, they're gone and I'm still here. Not saying I ran them off, I just believe they realized they couldn't defend their beliefs. Christ taught more about hell than you realize, He said the wise will avoid it. i want ever compromise my beliefs because I want compromise my savior, my popularity here means nothing, my Christ means everything.

You wrote a grand dissertation on whether you know gawd exists and are willing to simply dismiss the same in my daughter whom you've never even spoken to? Get bent GC. She believed as fervently in her imaginary friend as you do. Unlike you, she grew up. You go ahead and keep your 5-year old world view.

My God and friend is only imaginary in your mind, reality in the end will teach you differently, I honestly hope you will see the truth before hand.

I called him "Mr. I". I thought that was really clever. I created him partly because I didn't have many friends.

So you're saying your imaginary friend was actually you, that would explain much. Wink

I don't subscribe to your delusion, it's simple as that.

Are you admitting your beliefs are for the simple? That's a step in the right direction GC.
Christ said that child like faith would save a person, if you want to call that simple go ahead, it's no skin off my teeth.

This begs the question, why are you here?  This is a place to discuss opposing views with an open mind but you have the presupposition of a closed mind.  You do not have to take me seriously GC, that is of little importance to me.  I am merely pointing out that the language we use carries meaning and when used in the way you are using puts the burden of proof on you and the only defense you logically hold to is "because I personally know" which is not testable.  Paul said always be prepared to give an answer for the hope that is in you.  Which you indeed do, but the modern atheist cannot logically accept it because you claiming to have higher untestable knowledge.  I am 95% certain, so that means I cannot be taken seriously?  Thomas and James were doubters all the way through Christs life, should they be discounted?  I do not know an apologist or honest free thinking Christian that has not wrestled with doubt at one point in their life.  What's your point?  I have faith in God in that I believe He is real and I believe the person of Jesus Christ was who He claimed to be and I understand the gospel message.

I never said you were wrong.  I said it's not logically defensible to say you know something with certainty that is unverifiable.  That is not persuasive for others to believe your claim only to show that you have knowledge they do not.
We are not made happy by what we acquire but by what we appreciate.

So far we've had 4-5 theist replies, and only one list (unless I missed one). Two so far have claimed omniscience.

There is a good reason why they won't re-order the list. To do so would mean they'd have to evaluate the God claims in the same way they evaluate other claims. Using this methodology Gods existence will always have a lower certainty than almost anything else they believe to exist.
