Personally I remember quite a few endtimes dates within my lifetime. Not necessarilly religion related as in getting raptured. But I remember, back in the 80ies, some people went on and on about Nostradamus predicting the end for 1999, then it was the supposed electronical meltdown of 2000 and then it was the Maya bullshittery of 2012.
Quite honestly, I never did follow the outright religious endtime pile of shit.

Good question, I have been helping my brother in law, repair the house thad had been rented out (to what turned to be a low life scum bag).
Huge job, yard full of junk, smoke stained walls, dog peed rugs had to be ripped out + building repairs.
He and wifee live in Cal. and the house is here in Buffalo. Bad, bad idea.
I said to her, the only reason to not sell it, is when the Big One comes, and any of the kids are not raptured- they can live here.
She just gave me a pained smile. Penny is without clues.
The guys I work with went on strike 6 weeks ago (company leadership is related to Lucifer) so my availability and knowledge was a blessing to Bobby.
We made a lot of headway in a week, he is going to the Bills game today.
I need the break of going back to work, I miss my guys too- they are engineers so, unlike me-
they were at work, while I have been semi- retired.
I am going to buy lunch Monday or Tuesday-
might be a "Last Supper" of sorts.
Exactly 40 years ago there strike for 6 weeks, when it was settled- my life was very different.
I came back married with a new 5 year old son, and living in a different place.
The union guys settled for a nickel raise back then, I considered it a "Professor benefit strike".
I had just sold my superbike, and had both time and money to date my wife, hear from God, get married, go on honeymoon, and come back to work, married to a Godly woman.
Now, forty years later (the oft repeated biblical # of testing), it looks like my life is going to change for the better again.

It's called the Big Book of Multiple Choice
They should make a special edition where each verse has a small reference next to it, to another verse. Then if you don't like this verse, you follow the reference to where it says the exact opposite.

They did a wonderful job of throwing all kinds of BS in it and no one was the wiser until today when people actually take time to read the fairy tale.
