Where is heaven located? Also, why does God care about homo sapiens?

You may be mistaking me for someone who has a list of things that get into heaven, or believes in heaven, or believes that there are any intentional creatures at all.  Only offering a divergent view. I could have opined upon the ruinous nature of considering this life a test for the "real deal next life", or stated, point of fact, that your list is just a list of your own preferences imposed upon a fictional god. I thought you might get a few more giggles out of wondering, even for a moment...whether or not beetles and malaria were on the list, rather than lions and human beings - if there were a list..which, of course..there isn't.

Does your god often like the things you like, and dislike the things you don't? Do you find that god values what you value? I wonder what might explain that...any suggestions?

If it were a list of just my preferences, it wouldn't include Cats. I don't like cats. They're snobby and they scratch you and sometimes shit on you. They leave their hair everywhere too.

Apparently you prefer cats to mosquitos. As for the botflies. Lets say this life is the beta, and there's a list of things that get in on the next one - depending upon how they do in this one. The success of the botfly, particularly the one that likes to lay it's eggs in human children's eyes, could imply that they have some pull upstairs that we, the suffering hosts, do not. Similarly, that nearly half of all known insect species (the most numerous subgroup containing species identifiers) are beetles might be seen as a seal of approval on beetledom. Truth be told, beetles and botflies have been more beneficial to this rock by a wide variety of metrics than human beings (or lions) could ever hope to be.

This, and many other reasons, is why I suspect that your list (and your beliefs regarding that list) is simply a convenient accounting of your own pet beasties...and any reference to metrics such as harmful or beneficial are simply window dressing. More power to you......but if that's how these lists are made...well..I can make lists too. That's how lions got into heaven, after all...you put em on a list. I say mosquitos are in. Enjoy your mosquito ridden lion infested hellhole for all eternity.



(on an only slightly more serious note....point to a creature you think is harmful, or one you think is beneficial...and I'm willing to wager that this is a decidedly less than divine determination, and most likely an ignorant one. Hell, if it weren;t for mosquitos...what would all the bats eat - and who doesn;t like bats...did I mention that there were bats in heaven? Mosquitoes on the other hand, if they were wiped off the face of the earth tomorrow scientists have said that their roles would quickly be filled by other organisms. So fuck them. Really, everything would be better off without them. Maybe there's a mosquito god out there, and we're all just going to be stung for all eternity when we die, but that's not what I believe.

Also you're trying to fit what I believe into your own little version of god (which you don't believe in). You've stated that the botflies are 'getting help from upstairs', but I believe in a god that is non-interfering. So that doesn't fucking fit my beliefs one bit. My list is just a fucking guess, and apparently you have some sort of problem with that.

It -is- up to you.......you're the one that offered the list......cats are on it.  Make peace with who you are, juxtaposed against who you think you are. No one said anything about help (???)...I'm just looking at the situation here on the ground. The botflies are doing -very- well for themselves. Better than the lions, anyway. 

I don't have a problem with your list, people make lists. I'm okay with that...and if I weren't, oh well, people will still make lists. I do, however, find it amusing that you think that your list has -anything- to do with a god, or some test in this life, or that you're even guessing at something. Who has the problem here.....me, in seeing your list....or you, in having it assessed with even the lightest of due diligence (or the horror of having some nasty thing included by another)?

I agree with Catholic Lady and Drich and I know other Christians who believe the same, heaven is another dimension that exist within this dimension, it explains IMO how God and the angels can move into this dimension, it explains how Christ was able to disappear after His resurrection on a couple of occasions that were recorded in the Bible.
