My brain led me to atheism.

Not being indoctrinated left me with atheism as the default position. Even if I was indoctrinated, hopefully I would have thought myself out of it as I am sceptically minded.

What drives one to Atheism

Have you seen the miserable conversations about being unworthy sinners on christian forums? That alone should be enough of a warning sign to any free thinking person to stay well clear of such mind viruses.

I'm sure this has been covered plenty, but I'm a newby. ( But not an athiest basher)
What drives one to Atheism, or perhaps evolution. Is it that one rejects God, then finds comfort in something else, or do you look at evolution and determine it to be closer to the truth?
Or, are there athiests who also reject evolution, and just don't know what to make of life.

The lack of evidence of the god, angels, demons, creation, etc etc etc.

I do not quote texts, raise stories or argue philisophy. As far as Hindu, Islam etc., I research them, accept them, reject them or look further. You say you do not reject the concept of God, but do not explain. ( But you do not believe, which is fine). Most people in this country are raised with a belief in God and come to a point in their life whether they accept it anymore or not. If not, it is rejected. If you do not like the termonology, thats for you.

Hate implies something has to be real before even making the claim, because you cannot hate something that does not exist. So this is not the same terminoloy as rejection. Rejecting an idea simply means to disbelieve its accuracy, which is what atheists believe, we do not hate god, because we do not think the claim of one existing is accurate in the first place.

My comment is a bit picky but I do hate things that aren't real.  If I see an article or tweet about a 'new' spiderman movie i'm going to drop my arm on my desk and launch everything to the ground.  I hate spiderman and he's just as real as god.

At least Spiderman is a more developed character  and does good in his comics unlike god in the bible.

Evolution is a fact, check the evidence made available online by those who actually do the research. Evolution deniers never actually do anything other than deny, falsify their credentials, and lie.

I'm an atheist, and nothing ever "drove" me there. In fact, it's not even someplace where one can go. We are all born atheists. Other animal life forms never even begin to believe in any gods, therefore why should animals of said higher intelligence hold such beliefs? I traced my path back to the starting point, saw nothing of substance to keep me where I had been shanghaied and carried off to and buttloads of blatant dishonesty and abuse, therefore I walked away on my own two feet.

Your dog, if you have one, doesn't believe in your god, but if he was capable of conceptualizing such woo he would regard you as his god, with no difference in his behavior toward you. Most dog owners are better gods than Yahweh, in that they actually hear their pets pleas for help and take care of them. Like dogs, we can still believe in greater things than ourselves, be they greater people, groups we ally ourselves to, or the elements of the universe which are just plain greater without the make-believe of supernatural ideas.
