I just ate some chocolate. I'm also drinking coffee.
I can be the designated driver.
Ignoramus, you took me back to my youth with the word choof.
I have a cousin, the one you remind me of, and the first thing he'd say upon greeting was, 'where's all ya choof?', or 'Where's all ya dakka." :-)

My 2 sister always used to say: "Let's go! Time for a choof!" So out we'd go for a fag! Cleared the kitchen table in 5 seconds! All our friends smoked too.

Oh yeah, I've never smoked either. Not even tried one. Chalk up another nerd point for me!

Don't even start Rob... Drinking is for mums to cope with the little brats, and smoking choof is for the blokes to forget that they're married with kids!

That's alright then, all my kids are furry and four legged
I do like a nice alcohol free drink though, there are some nice ones. So maybe I can join in after all. I'm pretty good at orgies, probably.

I'll join you for drinks at the weekend.
Couldn't even have a drink on my day off yesterday. I'm on call.
Which ends Friday.
Playing Cluedo with my mum while I was at Uni:

I remember now why I don't get invited to parties. I've never been much of a drinker, and right now I can't drink anything due to my medication. I've never used any recreational drugs either. Oh yeah, and I don't have hardly any friends. My idea of fun is blowing up imaginary people in a video game. And roller skating.
When someone does accidentally invite me, I'm the guy who sits on the sofa for a few hours sober, cries a little inside then goes home. I'm sorry guys, I'm just not up to the task. Just fair warning for anyone who ends up meeting me in real life! I may prove to be dull as fuck. I'm lucky I managed to marry someone who doesn't seem to mind.
I better leave you real atheists to have some fun
My Beloved is the same way; she could have written the above almost word for word about parties, except that she will on occasion have a drink. She also says she's dull, but I find her mind amazing, when I can get her to open up. (Edit to Add: And, more importantly, like you and your wife, she tolerates me!)
Me, I once did well at parties, since I'm fairly social and chatty, and get pretty damned funny (according to others) when I'm stoned. However, I now have a lot of PTSD-type issues with large numbers of people in one place, and found it to be a lot of "work", even before. Besides, since I know you're the same age I am-- frankly we're too old to be much fun at parties, now, I suspect.
Don't be so hard on yourself. Just because we're on the other side of a computer screen doesn't mean we're not real, or not really friends, and we think you are awesome just the way you are.
(bold mine)
Hey hey hey! I'm the same age as you nerds and I, not only go to parties, but I throw parties... a lot. My sister says I "hold court".
