Yes, I know. Many, many whites felt that way, many, many blacks felt that way, but they each came at it from different angles. Perhaps you should read up on the history of segregation in America? Just a thought.

If I were black in the America of the 60s, you bet your lily-white ass I'd have a passport and plane ticket as soon as I could save up for it. You can say a lot about my mother, but you can't say she raised a fool.
I don't know. I said Muhammad Ali said he agreed with the kkk and did a speech for them.

You seem to be implicating (correct me if I'm wrong) that what you've said is correcting something I've said and my mistakes are due to lack of knowledge about the history of segregation even though you haven't corrected me in anything there.
I never said many blacks didn't feel this way or whites didn't feel this way or anything like that. I simply said that Muhammad Ali supported the kkk ideals of racial separation while he was under the influence of the Nation of Islam.
There's sources out there that quote Muhammad's father giving his critical opinion of the Nation of Islam and what they did to his son. I'm on my phone so slightly more difficult for me to find copy and paste this stuff but if you're your interested they are easy to find.

You can't drag someone over an opinion they had decades ago. I'd be more interested to see what he was saying in the last few years, especially now considering his grandchildren are white. People's views change all the time throughout their lives.
And as others have said, people are taking things out of context. Ali grew up in the height of segregation and the time of the lynchings. You're surprised he might have been, to say the least, pissed at the system? I'm not.
But then that's what America has done all through history, treat black people like shit and then tell them they're out of order when they're angry about it. It's still going on today with the reaction to the #BlackLivesMatter movement, people were calling Beyonce a "terrorist" because she addressed police brutality in her music video and channelled The Black Panthers.

"Ironically like the nativist far-Right, which despises multiculturalism, but benefits from its ideas of difference to scapegoat the other and to promote its own white identity politics; these postmodernists, leftists, feminists and liberals also use multiculturalism, to side with the oppressor, by demanding respect and tolerance for oppression characterised as 'difference', no matter how intolerable." - Maryam Namazie

No one is dragging him over ideas whatever that means. I was replying to you when you said you think he became less radicalised in later life, I was basically saying yes he was very radicalised, intimidated and brainwashed by the Nation of Islam. I was then asked to provide citation, followed by other citations followed by explanations so yes it does look like I'm focusing on this one point a lot but I'm really not. I'm just simply providing citations when asked.
I'd also suggest that he possibly had more to fear from other black men than white people. When he was becoming less radicalised I'm sure he was aware of what happened to Malcolm X when he became less radicalised and joined Sunni Islam.

You are aware that between the assassination of Malcom X, which happened in 1965 and the vid you posted lies a stretch of give or take 8 years?
Also, I would honestly advise, as Thumpalucus said, to read up on the segregation and race struggle in the 60ies. Malcolm X wasn't as black and white either, as you would obviously like him to be.

Well, what did you mean by "he was aware of what happened to Malcolm X" then? Other than that his assassination had an influence. Which, following your narrative, couldn't have been much, considering that your citation is 8 years after said assassination.

Malcolm X was killed in 1965, my point was that Muhammad Ali probably had more to fear from them than any white person since Malcolm X was killed doing exactly what Muhammad Ali did later in his life. Cults don't like it when you leave them, especially if you're a well known vocal celebrity. So I'm saying its likely he felt some intimidation from that group, this was also the opinion of Muhammad Ali's father.
And your argument against this is that Malcolm X was killed in 1865 which affects my argument because of....what? Some reasons? Why?
