No one can live forever.
"What a little moonlight can do." ~ Billie Holiday
Sad, but he fucking kicked Parkinson's ass for 30 years. 74 is a long life for a boxer.
RIP Ali.
Aw damn
I can't remember where this verse is from, I think it got removed from canon:
"I don't hang around with mostly men because I'm gay. It's because men are better than women. Better trained, better equipped...better. Just better! I'm not gay." For context, this is the previous verse: "Hi Jesus" -robvalue
I don't think I ever missed one of his fights. Even saw him live at Yankee Stadium against Ken Norton.
RIP, champ.
Bummer. RIP.

Don't worry, my friend. If this be the end, then so shall it be. RE: Muhammad Ali dead

My favorite heavyweight of all time. The Greatest ... just like Pa Thump used to say, it ain't bragging if you can do it.
I can see it now - sooner or later, the haters will crawl out of the woodwork claim that Ali wasn't all that great, etc. Pity. He was a damned fine boxer.

I never was a boxing fan, but I remember that night in 1971 when my father and I got up at 3 in the morning to watch the fight between Clay and Frazier. Timezones are a bitch, and I had to go to school that day.
He seemed like a decent guy, ignoring for the moment that he beat the snot out of people for money.
He was a truly amazing boxer. |
