Oh wait, do you live in US or one of the few other places where health care is a for profit endeavor? If not, carry on then. And congratulations Daddy-O!

It is a half private half public hospital. A publico-private endeavour as they say. We don't pay a thing as its under NHS. The conditions are great and the staff amicable. They do have rules. Once her waters break or she has to go to c-section, I have the right by law (so, a previlege), to be with her. Save medical conditions where my presence would constitute a risk to her amd our baby, rightifully logged in the med chart.

You had me at, "don't pay a thing", lol.

Ever wonder why they don't use the cardiac shock paddles instead of doing a c-section ??

Seems like one big 2000 volt contraction would clear up ANY pregnancy that has just gone on too long.

We don't eat fellow atheists babies.

We eat religious people's babies.

Get it right.

Yeah, a lot faster, in my experience. My ex was in labor with our first child for something like 20 hours, if I recall correctly. Our second girl practically had rocket-propelled roller skates on when she came. The hospital staff literally went from, "Oh, you're at about 4 cm. This will take a while," to 30 minutes later scrambling like hell because the ex was fully dilated, was begging to push, and the OB/GYN we'd been seeing was nowhere to be found. Allie was actually delivered by a doctor we had never met, which freaked out my ex considerably at first. In the end, though, it was good since his bedside manner was vastly better than the guy we had been seeing, who had always struck me as a bit of a douche.
