"time value of sin"
JFC, where do I get this stuff from ?? The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.
I dunno, but it sparked a wicked cool conversation

What if Jesus died because the people in power at the time could not handle his growing influence on the masses and conspired to have him murdered.
And Jesus let them to show his disciples (and everyone on down the time stream) mastery over death. He said he was given the power to lay down and take up his life at will by his Father...you think he only did that once?

Maybe you should write a New New Testament. Jesus can do whatever you want him to in your story. You want a traveling crucifixion show, three resurrections a week and a faith healing for free on sundays all under one big tent - have at it.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!
Maybe he should sober up first.

Don't be silly, he died in order to give churches a cudgel made of guilty consciences.
You mean like if he died from an STD or something like that? Yeah that'd be kinda cool.
