Skype does group calls. I'm not sure what the limit is but I've been in calls with 12+ people so maybe we could all get in a call together and record some Christmas carols. That could be fun.

Ooh, I've just thought of something else. There's this rule right, doxing... you're not allowed to public quote anything from a PM? So... what we could do is create vlog carol videos on youtube, and post them privately like tibs does with the interviews so that they can only be accessed through a link. Then we could send those links in PMs to people and then it would be like a present for only them with the doxing rule preventing the link being shared. Mix that with one of these other secret santa-ish ideas and you could end up being the sole receiver of a given vlog carol. That would add to the sort of unique present feel of it. Just a thought though.

I studied the origins of christmas and it was very good for me to learn all that.

I've never liked the western approach to Christmas, my major area of study is Japan and it's culture. The Japanese treat Christmas -eve, and Christmas like a second Valentines day or for a group of friends to get together to have a party and exchange gifts to one another. It's not a religious holiday, it's a social holiday. That's the way it should be celebrated, not with church and a family dinner. Let's all get drunk this year and celebrate like the Japaneses!
