Some of us, the working poor, can't afford the national health care system we now have. We pay into it, but don't benefit from it. I'm glad that you can afford it, though, Mr. Minimalist Money Bags Trump.
DAMN YOU ARE DENSE.
YES I AGREE, but the GOP did that to you , not dems.
AGAIN this has been the 36 year scam they have been selling you.
Even when they "expand" things like you say, this is what they do, make it so you cant get it, because again, the less they hand out, the more tax breaks they can fund for the billionaires.
And the same shit is going to happen with infrastructure when they get to that. Sure, they WILL pass a bill to fund it, but it will be the middle class and working poor paying for it, not the uber billionaires, not the corporations. And when the revenue dries out because of lack of revenue, that short term gain will end up in a future bubble.
Why do you think we had Bush's tripple whammy housing/bank/car crash? Because Wall Street and the GOP want to use you and me to pay for their global casino.

You realize how drastically different nationalized healthcare is from the ACA, right?

Quote:Trump Supporters Furious That They Still Have Health Care
Quote:WASHINGTON (The Borowitz Report)—With a fury that could spell political trouble for Republicans in the midterm elections, Trump voters across the country on Friday expressed their outrage and anger that they still have health coverage.“I went to bed Thursday night and slept like a baby, assuming that when I woke up I would have zero health insurance,” Carol Foyler, a Trump voter, said. “Instead, this nightmare.”

Now, after Medicaid expansion, my deductible is the same, I have $20 copays, and my premium is $54/month.
It's a shitty plan, but it won't bankrupt me if something happens. I don't make a lot of money (any right now, back in school for 4 more months) so I qualify.
I'd gladly trade the "freedom" of getting gouged by an insurance company for slightly higher taxes for everyone and full coverage. The free market is great in most cases, but not healthcare. Profit motives in healthcare do not lead to positive outcomes for the most needy.
What exactly is shitty about that plan? Is cheaper and with lower deductibles than my employer's plan. Does your coverage suck or something?
My SO pays $11 per month for copays and a $1300 deductible, but she works for a hospital network.

You realize how drastically different nationalized healthcare is from the ACA, right? Yup...and Canadians are getting fucked up the ass with taxes paying for it, not to mention the long waiting periods for timely access to medical care. If they're going to get fucked over with high taxes paying for something they should at least demand something better for their money.

One insurance provider is all that's left in my state doing ACA policies and I won't know what my premium is for several months. I also won't know what level(s) of coverage there will be either.

Well then, write to your Republitraitor representatives and ask them why they've spent the last nine years either voting to defund the ACA or denude it of protections.
It's much more constructive than pissing and moaning about the 2016 Democratic campaign which had the decks stacked against it by 10,000,000 voters even before the hustings began.

Talk up trump less. Work more. Lose those goggles and ear protectors for the shooting range. Learn from the good Mexicans trump wants to keep out.

It's the "Vile Maxim" loved by the wealthy fat cats that is fucking you, your family and the rest of the working/ middle classes over : "All for ourselves and nothing for other people".
Health care is a basic human right not a privilege - for everyone including you and your wife.
When conservative politicians insist on cutting taxes for their rich friends to the detriment of regular people like you and me and pretending that it's for the good of the American people - you end up with the clusterfuck we've witnessed the past few months with "repeal and replace".
