We laughed our asses off and in the end sent 'God's not dead' to our atheist friends, as instructed by the film.
It was amusing, it's all a matter of mindset.

I would think not.
That'd be quite the contradiction.
First, I love that you sent it to atheist friends. I think that's something that could catch on: God's Not Dead endlessly gifted/re-gifted year after year among the heathens, the atheists' equivalent of the dreaded holiday fruit cake.
Second, an atheist as "the god guy" has promise. I loves me a conflicted anti-hero.

If someone was quoting me I have ADD, it would have been a typo. "good guy" is what I meant. That is weird, I swear there was a quote of me when I hit reply but it is not showing up when I submit. Maybe I need my meds adjusted.

The part that says it's ok to commit rape, mass murder, or slavery, within certain limits, but two adult men falling in love with each other should be stoned to death. Yes, you picked a part of the bible that we can agree on. In amongst all the other stuff we probably agree should be done away with.
Like I said. Glossing over the crappy parts, and picking out the nice parts.

You act as if all Christians actually live by those ideals.
Christians vastly outnumber everyone else in this country. If they all actually did those things, we'd have no hungry, homeless, destitute, sick, or poor.
There are Christians who do good charity work. There are a lot who don't.
Personally, I could live with out some other characteristics of some Christians - the smug sense of superiority, bigotry, pushing their agenda into the public schools etc.

The whole thing. We don't have to read scriptures to do any of those things, and obviously reading it hasn't improved your lot any.

This part: Exodus Chapter 21, verse 1:
- Now these are the ordinances which you shall set before them. When you buy a Hebrew slave, he shall serve six years, and in the seventh he shall go out free, for nothing. If he comes in single, he shall go out single; if he comes in married, then his wife shall go out with him. If his master gives him a wife and she bears him sons or daughters, the wife and her children shall be her master's and he shall go out alone. But if the slave plainly says, 'I love my master, my wife, and my children; I will not go out free,' then his master shall bring him to God, and he shall bring him to the door or the doorpost; and his master

But yeah, there's not that many truly positive portrayals of atheists.
God's Not Dead is simply drivel written to appeal to Christians who feel the need to feel persecuted (mostly because their bible tells them to). The film would have been a better propaganda piece if they simply had the professor being a trickster mentor who wanted the main character to stand up for himself. I mean at least then it would have made sense. You could remove a lot of the other plots, and just make it about a Professor who wants to challenge his students and see if they'll stand up for what they believe in, or just give up because the professor has all the power.
But they can't do that because then they'd be portraying colleges in a positive manner, and can't have people wanting to get educated! Not without Jesus.
Well, colleges and universities are nothing more than liberal indoctrination centers....

That's only ancient Old Testament stuff mate! If God had wanted us to stick with it, he wouldn't have sent JC to give us the New T, (the clue is in the name)..
And people quickly realised-
"The covenant of which Jesus is mediator is superior to the old one" (Heb 8:6)
"Jesus saved you from the empty way of life handed you by your forefathers" (1 Peter 1:18 )
