Pat Robertson is going to suffer some VERY disturbing torments in Hell's Ironic Punishment Division.
Molten gold enemas to the extent he vomits the molten gold, that sort of thing.

It's a lovely thought but hell is just as phony as Robertson.

Better headline and closing line:
Quote:Jesus Christ Ditches His Wife At An Oklahoma Restaurant
A woman has been jailed on a charge of fraud after her husband, Jesus Christ, fooled her into ordering food she couldn't pay for at a restaurant.
Expecting Mr. Christ to meet her and pay for her meal, Kristi Rhimes entered El Chico restaurant in Lawton, OK on Friday, and ordered food and drinks for herself. When presented with the bill, Ms. Rhimes explained that her husband, a popular religious leader, would be along shortly to pay for the meal. Unfortunately he failed to appear, and when Ms. Rhimes could produce neither proof of her marriage to the Son of God, nor an alternative form of payment, she was arrested.
"The times when you have seen only one set of footprints," said Mr. Christ, when reached for comment, "those are the times I tricked you into going to jail."

I think it is time for Pat to be locked up in a rubber room.

Quote:h, my. Is Pat Robertson feeling left out of the loop with conservative crazies lately?
Today on “The 700 Club,” Pat Robertson insisted that he and others have the power to raise the dead, but lamented that people these days are withholding this special skill.
Robertson, who has previously discussed dead-raising abilities, told a viewer, Margaret, that people can raise the dead when they receive and submit to the power of the Holy Spirit.
“That power is there, we just aren’t using it,” Robertson grieved.

I went looking for that part in the Gospels where Jesus brings a dead girl back to life and tells people that those of sufficient faith should be able to accomplish that. Jesus was always telling people that those of sufficient faith can perform miracles. I didn't have the patience to locate it but I remember reading it.
So any Christian who would say Pat's crazy should be ready to say the same for Jesus.

You'd think that just out of sheer curiosity sometime in the last 1,500 years one of the fuckers would have tried it out, no?

Not a chance. Deep down, even the Christers understand something about falsifiability and would never put themselves in a position to admit that they either lack the true faith they proclaim or that Jesus was full of shit.
These days, 'miracles' have been demoted to finding car keys and being cured of crabs.
