I'm sure the answer is "goddidit" or some such nonsense.

I had expected Chad to know the meaning of "brain-dead", I guess.

An erudite like Neo, tsk, equivocating such different states. Oh well, better try medicine school and fail, than to complete a theology course, IMHO.

A brain dead person's brain and brain stemwill liquify to a mush after a couple of days. A vegetative person will not and there is brain activity. It is good news.

You guys are kind of proving his point, to be honest...
"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."

What point is that? No one mentioned religion here until he did, to bitch and moan about we being mean to him because he wanted so.

All anyone ever done was pointing out his error confusing brain dead with vegetative state. How does that have anything to do with religion.

Why do you think that we are proving his unexistent point?

What do you think his point is?

Quote:The treatment challenges a widely-accepted view that there is no prospect of a patient recovering consciousness if they have been in PVS for longer than 12 months.

That science makes advances?  I doubt it.

Time for you to man up. Up to this point in thread, where have you been criticized? I see Lutrinae correcting you. Is correcting you equal to critic? Just so I know.

(My bold)

Yes, but it was done so with a snarky, condescending tone. I think if we're all being honest here we can admit that it wouldn't have been that type of tone if it had been someone else who had started this thread and made the error between brain dead and vegetable.

And you're proving his point because even though he's already been corrected, this thread continues to be about him rather than about the topic at hand. Which is pretty much what he said.
