Being told you're delusional does not necessarily mean you're mental.
My response to serious questions about ouija boards is to laugh my bollocks off.

The means by which people attempt to invoke demonic entities and evil spirits does not matter. Even if this is a purely psychological phenomena, why draw out the darkest parts of the self? Or to put it another way, supposing one is an open minded skeptic, allowing for the possibility that some shred of evidence for the supernatural could be attained by seances and such, why go that route if there is even the slightest chance that it just might actually work and allow such evil to manifest in your life. Draw out the darkest parts of the self my arse. It's probably as likely to draw the "darkest parts of the self" out of a person as playing Call of Duty Black Ops Zombie Mode. Probably less. At least that has graphics and it actually involves shooty shooty stabby stabby bitey bitey.

Are we really being lectured on the clear and present demonic danger of board games? Isn't such a notion as this supposed to be an unrepresentative stereotype of christianity, leveraged by godless malcontents to discredit the faithful as simpletons........?
Rational christians don't honestly believe that they can cast a magic spell (intentionally or otherwise) with painted pieces of card stock and a cheap plastic lens...do they?
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!
Unfortunately, some people really believe in that woo.

Just offering our resident christians an exit from this bit of pious fraud they've foisted upon themselves. One wonders why they would "draw out the darkest parts of the self" in -that- way if they truly believed in and opposed doing it with a board game.

Because they aren't just board games. They are props surrounding the deliberate cultivation of altered states of consciousness with the intention of manifesting a supernatural result through evil spirits. Scoff if you want, but personally, I think messing with any kind of occult practice is dangerous - especially for non-believers. |
