One sentence that throws the problem of evil out of the window.

RE: One sentence that throws the problem of evil out of the window.
All you have to know is there is a positive thing at the end of every suffering MK. God has a plan for every one of us, whatever hell anyone is going through as long as they endure it there will be a reward for them in the end and that's the absolute truth.

There is no god and no objective morality.

That would throw it out which I pointed out in other threads if were true.

Thus the paradox of Atheists using that argument against God in the first place *smiles*.

It is true.

Why is it a paradox?

I generally avoid reading your threads so don't assume that I know what you are talking about. i find word salad tedious.

I say "yes" to wild sex with a beautiful girl, and "no" to that doctor who enjoys prostate exams just a little too much.

Yes, but you are still choosing to live despite the good AND bad that comes with it, right? Do you wish you had never been conceived?

I think the problem of evil is not saying life is not worthy to live, it is saying, a better world would exist if a God existed, a world precisely without suffering. I throughout my Deist years tried to a form better arguments from "evil" and I did, and some people may remember those threads.

The all beautiful names of God are the explanation, as they are the means, as they are the designate leaders and navigators. If we don't understand the patience of Mary and her beautiful scent from that patience in midst of tribulation she faced from her people, we won't understand much.

And Mary didn't care for her own reputation except that people would perish if they belittled her due to the clear proofs regarding her purity and exalted status. To truly seek help from patience and connection to God, we must hold to his handhold and rope (such as Jesus).

It is unfortunate that people take from the light what they like and mix with it from the ugly shadows what suits them.

Jesus could not be separated from goodness and the path to God, because, in midst of it all and the spiritual kingdom, he was the sun by which light encompassed the world, the light of the world, the word of light.

None of the above address the problem of evil, but to play along:

If god is all powerful, he could have accomplished the above-mentioned state of being without resorting to human suffering. The problem of evil, succinctly stated is...why didn't he?

I may have misunderstood your post.

Do you mean that God does away with the problem of evil as in evil would not be a problem or do you mean it particularly does away with the problem of evil because the problem of evil is only a problem if a God exists?

I think this is false. It's like saying if God was all-powerful, he can create four side triangles.

There is no god.

There is no evil.

There are just acts and people that others describe as evil. It's a subjective judgment that people make.

There is no god and no objective morality.

So it's not objectively wrong to rape children? How about torturing a child to death?

Personally i cant wrap my head around the concept of these things being wrong only as a matter of opinion rather than fact. At the same time though, without God, you cant really make the case for objective morality... So you have to concede that raping, torturing, and killing a 4 year old is only "wrong" as a matter of personal opinion, like thinking the best color is pink.
"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."

Then its a paradox to use the argument from evil to dismiss God. It has to acknowledge him and deny him at the same time.

But those things don't matter, as MK has taught us. All those children have to do is be patient and it will all be worth it. See, that's the trap of painting on a canvas so broad that the individual brushstrokes - the children in this example - get swallowed up.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

Really?  It would have been impossible for god to have a created a world with even an ounce less suffering than this one?  This was the maximally great world?  There was no room, in this world, for improvement?

Then wtf has all of human history and innovation been about? There just -has- to be malaria in the world, otherwise gods purpose can;'t be achieved? If you'e going to be a believer, at least take god seriously.
