We have a mass shooting every day in the US.

Yep, and an average of 90 firearm deaths per day of every kind. This is what happens when you make firearms like candy and hand them out like candy.

Needless yes, but unfortunately it does make sense that this happens so much, for the reasons I keep repeating.
Until we break the backs of the manufacture's marketing, I don't mean force them all out of business, but just like pharm cos are facing lawsuits over opiods, until we force them to stop their fear and macho marketing, they will continue to sell firearms like they do. And as long as the GOP congress keeps taking lobby money and NRA money, they will continue to protect the market which is causing all this.

This bad climate that allows all this was decades in the making, when the makers shacked up with the corruption of the NRA leadership in the late 70s. The last time the GOP did anything meaningful about firearm violence was the Brady Bill when Reagan and Brady got shot. But the greed of the industry and their profit lobby eroded all that over the decades.

Can we please, for once, stick to the topic and STOP making this about gun manufacturers? We already have enough of that on other threads.

Again??
and you think mass ownership of firearms is a good thing?
The meek shall inherit the Earth, the rest of us will fly to the stars.

Never underestimate the power of very stupid people in large groups

Are any news channels talking about this? As far as I could see, they're all talking about some political crap going on and not this incident.
"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."

It's not even "news" anymore, C/L.  THAT is the problem.

As the saying goes:  "Dog bites man is not news.  Man bites dog is news."

However, your observation is correct.  They are either discussing sexual harassment situations in congress or Jeff Sessions lying again to the senate as of one minute ago when I checked MSNBC and CNN.

Dare I check what the FOX FUX are talking about?

Nope.  FOX is about Sessions, too.

No we cant nor should we stop making it about the makers. If you agree that we have too many events like this then that is the discussion we should have. No different than talking about burning fossil fuels and climate change. No different than Nadar exposing cars as the bad products they were prior to mandated safety regulations. No different than tobacco companies being exposed for their bad marketing too.

There is a health care cost  to every insurance buyer and to all tax payers by allowing this flooded market of firearms, both on an injury and death scale, but also the mental health costs for families and survivors.

You don't have to make the same redundant point on every single thread. Seriously. We know.
