I would just like to say that I'd rather have a peacock on a plane than a kid.

Ideally I would prefer neither but if I had to choose, some smelly, noisy, snot-nosed kid is going to come in second.

Wait until the peacock takes to the air inside the plane,  land its 10 lb ass on your head, sinks it’s talons into your scalp, and shit on your shoulders.

Still better than some kid crying his fucking ass off for the whole flight.

Maybe it's because I'm an oddball but this story makes me laugh every time I've heard it.

I'm skeptical about all these alleged 'support animals' that seem to be everywhere these days. I think it's just a sneaky way to bring your pet to places where normally you can't bring pets.

And a peacock, for pete's sake? Those things are loud, I can't imagine sitting next to one of those on a flight!

United Airlines confirmed that the exotic animal was barred from the plane Saturday because it “did not meet guidelines for a number of reasons, including its weight and size.”

“We explained this to the customer on three separate occasions before they arrived at the airport,” an airline spokeswoman said in a statement Tuesday to The Washington Post.

What worries me the most is the possible distress to the animal itself, it's fine if i like my peacock with me on a flight i mean who wouldn't like their choice of poultry to go with them, but the poor peacock may not like being the experience.. selfish bastards.
