On my way now...

Have a great trip Brian! You deserve to have a good time. It's been a rough year for you.
"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."

Going to see my friend Bob again tomorrow. I will have all week to visit him. I do however need to slow down because my long term back problem is acting up again. I will be going to Steve Erwin's nature reserve on Friday.
Russell Island is where I will be staying the rest of the trip. It is really neat to get there by water Taxi. Especially in the morning when it just warm enough and breezy so you are not hot. The view from the bay is amazing. Got to see my first wild kangaroo outside a zoo here in Stanthorpe. Russell Island, By Brian37(AKA Brian James Rational Poet on FB and brianrrs37 on twitter) From the veranda Overlooking the sloped backyard To see the beauty Is not that hard Mangrove trees With octopus roots In low tide Attack the drying mud Great pretender This half moon lagoon Pretending it is a dry riverbed In some scorching part of Africa But no, It is just a slight indentation In my friend's back yard High tide will remind it Shimmering silverback waters No you are not Africa The underlying turqoise Of the bay will remind you The calm tide gently creeps in It wants to sooth the angry roots Lapping around them as if They're photons acting as both particle and wave Those clever double slit waters Undulate the shadows of the roots Swaying and snaking Under the broccoli branch mangrove And those chimps Are not Orangatangs Any which way but loose They're kookaburras Lap lap lap The tide slowly creeps in A heavy piece of driftwood Submerges like a navy sub But it is only temporary The tide retreats Those angry roots Exposed again
So yesterday we went to the local mall so I could buy some shorts and Deb could buy some steak for us to grill. Anywho, the grocery store is inside the mall. The funny thing was that she went through the checkout, I picked up the bags out of the cart to carry them and she still pushed the cart HALFWAY THROUGH the mall before I asked her"Why are you still pushing the cart when I am carrying everything."
She responded "Because you're rubbing off on me,"
Ok so Deb, Bob's sister has been driving me around for the past couple days to get me used to things. But today was the first day I took the water taxi and bus alone.
She dropped me off at the water taxi and went home. But just to screw with her, when I got to Bob's nursing home I FB PMed her, "Damned bus driver dropped me off at the wrong stop, I am lost." I could imagine Deb reading that at home going, "God Brian is an idiot!" Probably thinking "My entire day is blown". But didn't let it go long, I said, "He he he, I'm fine, with Bob now" Her response. "I'm not talking to you." My response, "I love you too". Her response, "LOL" I am sure I freaked her out for a second. I was trying to get her to think I was lost and think that she would have to come get me. She runs her own business and if that had happened for real, that would have thrown off her entire day to come get me.
Hope you’re having fun!
