The fact that you cannot even seem to bring yourself to talk about gay people as actual persons is telling. ow if I misunderstood something, then please.... please correct me.  Condemn the people making false accusations, against the VP and hold them to a high standard.  If there is information I'm missing, then present it..... Not opinions or conspiracy theories that have no basis in facts, but show me the evidence.  You can still not like him, because of his stance on legislation of concern to homosexuals.  Just don't make stuff up and lose your credibility.  It gives others reason to question your motives!

You have not pointed out a single conspiracy theory . It's a fact he has voted and supported anti gay legislation. Are you denying he has ?.

Wrong,  This shows what I was talking about as well, and why I don't want to discuss anymore with you, nor do I much care any more what you have to say on the matter; if it's going to be mostly bull shit.   I think that a honest and rational person, can easily look at this discussion, and see that there is no basis or correlation between what I said, and what you are trying to attribute to me.   It's false, it's baloney, and I don't see how I can even charitably chalk it up to a misunderstanding.

If you don't want to talk to him; if you don't want to like him... that's fine.  I'm not saying that you have to.  However if you are going to lie and try to tear him down for that nice thing... I'm going to call bull shit, and I'm going to be less empathetic and not as quick to believe you in the future if what you say, can't be trusted to be factual, but is heavily clouded by emotion and hate.

Pence's political actions, which have actively hurt the LGBT community, paint a very clear picture of what he really thinks. It's public record (a good rundown can be found here: http://www.pinknews.co.uk/2018/02/10/mik...bt-rights/).

Adam Rippon very clearly doesn't want to be used as a PR prop for a man whose decades of policy decisions has hurt (or attempted to hurt) people like him. And, frankly, any crocodile tears shed over this point only highlights why Rippon's choice is the correct one.

If you support the idea that some people don't deserve the same rights as you because they don't share your religious belief, there is no way you can spin that to merely a difference of opinion. The whole "redefining marriage" gambit has been debunked over and over. Marriage is a civil benefit in America. It is profoundly unconstitutional to deny that benefit to people based on the religious beliefs of some.

If you were a politician in the 1960s and were one of those clamoring that we should not 'redefine marriage' so that black and white people could freely marry, then you'd be just as susceptible to being labelled a bigot.

This idea that the principle that some people are not worthy of equal treatment is not merely a difference of opinion, it is a plague upon a civil society that must be met with the harshest of public rebuke. Mike Pence has repeatedly shown that he supports legislation that would allow for the debasement of an entire group of people based on his religious belief. That makes him a bigot, and that makes his "nice" offer of support a farce, and intolerable.

No... I'm not debating same sex union "rights" or any of those things.  And if you want to be angry with Pence because he voted against this or that, then all the more power to ya. 

What I am talking about is the distortion of facts in this story, in an attempt to unjustly tear down another person.  To distort and mangle their position and especially their character by what is mostly in your imagination. 

I started out in this, not really knowing much of anything about Pence (other than he is VP).  I was mostly assuming that things where a little distorted and probably over dramatized but wanted to check out the facts of the matter for myself.  What I found is that what was being said was no where near anything based on the actual actions or statements  of VP Pence. 

And when I brought this up, it was basically justified and I was told it was just spin and it would continue, unless he supported the homosexual agenda  NO!.... if you are intentionally spreading  false malicious information in order to malign the character of someone because you disagree with their voting record; that is not just spin.   It is wrong.  It is lying, it is slander. 

If you have a strong case, then stick to that (stay focused on the facts).  This type of behavior only hurts your position.  It's despicable to resort to it and shows a lack of character.
