So you don't believe in marital rape.  Tell me again, what makes you one of the "good christians"?

I’m pretty sure that’s not what she means at ALL, Tazzy.

CL, the boyz love to troll you, don’t they? 😛

I'm not sure what he thought I meant, since what he's saying doesn't follow at all from my comment lol. But whateva, it's more entertaining this way. Smile

It’s almost as if they don’t actually read what your saying, and just make blanket assumptions because you’re a Christian!  I think there is a word for that. 😉

Uh, huh.  And you wonder why we keep picking on the hypocritical motherfuckers.

https://www.rawstory.com/2018/04/crusadi...efendants/

Quote:Crusading Christian DA resigns after being accused of trading light sentences for sex with defendants

Quote:A Christian prosecutor who regularly boasted of waging culture wars against liberals resigned this week amid allegations that he gave women drug dealers lighter sentences in exchange for sexual favors.

The reports that Bedford County District Attorney William Higgins stepped down from his position after he was charged by a grand jury of offering female convicts leniency if they met his sexual demands.

A republicunt, a christard and a pervert all rolled into one.  The trifecta of hypocrisy!

I think we covered this in another thread; it seems she has a view of submission that a lot of women here might not share, but thankfully, it seems that Mr. Catholic Lady is mild enough that this isn't really much of a problem. Sadly, Sparks (goddammit, I just finished a Sparks marathon at the store and I'm pissed off that he shares a name with this awesome band) is not and demonstrates why a lot of people aren't as fine with it.

I think you severely misunderstood what I was saying on that thread if you think it was about women being submissive to men, or if you think it in any way excuses what this guy did to his ex fiance.

Okay, mea culpa. I did not do justice to your position, and certainly did not give it the nuance it evidently needs (which you explained in the old thread, which is why I linked to it). I’m sorry I misinterpreted it.

Honestly, my point is that there was a crucial difference between him and Sparks: namely, your husband is at least sensitive to your needs and doesn’t seem to want to hurt you and he isn’t a depraved little shit like Sparks.

And about the abusive sex? That happened before she broke up with him; even in BDSM (well, the safe, sane, and consensual kind at least)  there’s usually supposed to be a sort of ongoing agreement to what should or shouldn’t happen. Just a blanket claim of consent that covers everything isn’t enough.
In Beta Fails world it seems any less then him locking her in cage and raping her . Would exonerate Sparks and place the blame solely on the woman . Because everyone know abuse never stick with their abuser  Dodgy

Yeah, my position is simply that spouses shouldn't neglect each other sexually, just as they shouldnt in all other ways - emotionally, mentally, physically, etc. Unless there is legitimate reason for it. One example is my poor friend who's husband never has sex with her because he'd rather smoke weed, sleep, or play video games.

This, of course, has nothing to do with abuse or unwanted sexual dominance lol. My position on sex is all about commitment and mutual self giving love. Smile

I posted this on the old thread but I want to make sure it’s seen by the folks in this thread as well:

Quote:I know this old but I just wanted to say I 100% agree with what you wrote here.  A healthy, fulfilling, loving marriage requires work. It’s not a passive thing.  It’s not supposed to be easy.  It’s not about each person going about their selfish whims. Giving to your spouse because they’re communicating a need for intimacy can be very rewarding, because it goes beyond just, “I’m horny, so yeah, let’s have sex.” It’s about being selfless and actively loving the other person in a way that they need, even if that particular way is not high on your list of immediate desires at the moment. There is nothing submissive about that, lol. It’s the opposite. It’s called equal partnership.
