I think it's more likely that Jehanne has recognized that the Bible is not all that useful in arguments dealing with the real world.

I think that the Bible is a useful work of fiction, kind of on par with the Iliad and Odyssey, although, I would rank the later two works as of greater literary and even historical importance.

I fear somethings, but not my eternal destination, that has been secured by God himself.

Sorry but no. You should be afraid, God is the judge and who He is is the standard, a standard that's perfect and unattainable by people. God can make the willing perfect through the forgiveness grace brings and grace comes through belief in Jesus Christ. I'm only telling you what I know for a fact, what God has revealed and I'm interested in your eternal destination and that it is one with God, I think it would be nice to meet you there.
